How do I address my in-laws??

Right now I'm still in the Mr. Mrs. Lastname phase, but fi and I have discussed what I'll do after the wedding. I know my parents want to be called by their first names, and fi already calls them that. If he called them mom and dad ever they would be totally weirded out. And I think that's really strange since my dad always called my mom's parents mom and dad.

I know my mother would be totally ticked if I called fi's parents mom and dad but it wouldn't bother me personally. His parents and my parents will rarely be in the same room since we live away from both sets of parents so she'd never know anyway. My mom tends to be very competitive about who we love more, which is pretty childish most of the time and I just tend to ignore. So if they want me to call them mom and dad I would.

Now when I was married previously, I never called exH's parents by anything. They are horrible people and abused exH and his brothers, so I wasn't calling them mom and dad, they didn't deserve the respect of Mr. Mrs., and I wasn't calling them by first names either. It seemed too friendly. I did call exh's stepmom and stepdad by first names, but I like them!
