Holiday Ridiculousness

Re: Holiday Ridiculousness

  • Yea, both mags and pinots apostrophes are one spot too soon. It's really, really weird. Little Winos ;)

TheSun- Thats cute, you will be a cute pregnant women I'm sure.
  • Maybe I should rename this thread apostrophe ridiculousness?

Yup, guilty as charged. Total wino. Except that I'm drinking vodka tonight, so now I just feel like an alchy. hehe

And both roxy and sun will make adorable little pregnant women. A-dorable.
  • I will willingly admit I am a wino. It just makes me think a lot slower than normal, which is not good when you are typing to get your point across.

  • Typically when I've been drinking I pour over my typing for  a good 10 minutes longer than needed just to check spelling. It ends up pointless and ridiculous because I still end up with mistakes.
  • I thought I had done pretty well trying to type... until I put shatting instead of chatting. Its all been downhill from there.

  • Sorry I just disappeared mid conversation. A guy I knew in HS and ran into at the airport in Perth (other side of Australia) a few weeks ago is apparently coming over here and seems to think that I should help him organise a reunion.... I have a feeling that those of us who aren't friends with the rest of the people we hung out with in high school have made that choice for a reason, and I am totally unsure about what to say to him. I don't want to be cruel, but I don't want to be associated with this event either. Oh dear.

In any case, I just spent ten minutes staring at facebook and writing to my MOH asking her for help (she went to HS with us). Damn you, facebook!

  • TheSun- thats tough, hopefully your MOH will have a good idea..
  • TheSun- that's awkward. Is there anyway you can gently let him down by telling him you have a lot going on right now and couldn't possibly be a good co-organizer at this time?

  • Ugh, I'm lurking the bump and its giving me baby fever even though tose women are crazy

    Yea, that's definitely awkward.
Can you blame it on your thesis? Tell him your too busy right now, but under normal circumstances you'd love to help?
Or just say your not really into planning that kind of stuff, but are looking forward to the invitation . . .
  • Hmm I'm not really sure what to say. My MOH suggests that we're both out of state that weekend! haha. I'm not sure. I'd be fine to do something small with just the people I am still in touch with from high school, but all of these randoms (including ex boyfriend etc) are not exactly my idea of a good time.
  • I agree with MOH, I would be unavailable for the weekend he wants to plan the reunion.

  • roxy- traitor!  J/k I can't bring myself to go over there. I don't have baby fever, however.

Sun- I think my reading comprehension was affected by the screwdrivers. I thought you just didn't want to plan but didn't mind going. If you simply don't want to go, then: sorry you're busy, but maybe next time ( in 10 years)
  • Ha! I went over there looking for something. I didn't find it. Instead I found a whole lot of abbr. I didn't understand a lot of vom worthy nonsense
  • I admit I went over there out of curiosity once you mentioned it roxy, but I quickly got scared and came back. I obviously don't have any hint of baby fever.

  • Good to know I'm not missing vom nonsense.
Hehe, vom  nonsense, I like it.

Anywho, is the baby fever bad?  I want them (babies, I mean) but not for a few years. I can't relate to the baby fever.

Food and beer babies on the other hand . . .

Well, I just teared up over 'cloudy with a chance of meatballs'. I guess I am now part of the ridiculousness, albeit not christmas based.
