We brew beer and name them for the dogs.  Our brewing company (not really a company) is named after my pup Suzie.  FI makes labels with their pictures and we name them funny names. Like these

It's not too bad, Missy. We deal. They think it is caused by head trauma from past abuse. I am just glad we got her when we did; most shelters would have just put her down. 80% of the time, she is perfectly happy and healthy.
I remember your old sig pic of Maggie. I'm sure you were/are a great doggy mom.

we do ALL these things with our cat! i've also informed my FI that, although I'll be taking his name, the cat will keep his maiden name because I think it sounds better with his first name lol. FI refers to the cat as his "stepson".
