• As far as the bridesmaid thing goes, you expect them to do those things because they're your closest friends. You asked them to be bridesmaids because they're you're closest friends. To say that you expect them to do those things because they're bridesmaids is like saying that ice cream causes drowning because more people drown in the summer and more people buy ice cream in the summer. The two things are correlated, but not causational (I think I made that word up)

Lala, I think that is probably the person who said it, I saw it listed on some random dog quotes website and just saved the text because it was funny. I will never, ever agree to be a BM in a wedding ever again. It has been the worst experience of my life so far and it will be all over after this Monday (who the eff gets married on a Monday anyway?).
    Posted by pinkpinot
Copy that. If my very best friend was getting married I MIGHT put up with this crap again. but anyone else, no thanks. I'd rather just come to your wedding in a dress of my choosing and have a great time then spend all the money and deal with the annoyance of being a BM.
Ok I'm glad ONE person agreed with me about being a BM lol. I'm an awful person because I just can't get it up for your wedding and I can't even get it up for my own so it's just hard for me to careeeeeee. And my friend is a total cuntpickle so it makes me not want to do a single thing for her.
    Posted by pinkpinot
I totally agree. I was MOH for my sister and had no desire to really help with anything (it didn't help that i was 12 hours away). I did throw the shower, buy the dress (of my choosing) and show up sober to the wedding, but I don't know that i can get all super excited about weddings. It might have something to do with the fact that I deal with entitled brides and MOB's on a daily basis.

The Keg. I have not gone back there since some idiots let their kid run around the restaurant. The wait staff should've said something to them because he was a danger to pretty much everyone including himself with waiters carrying trays of hot food and knives around.

  • I've only had to BM in one wedding. The dress was a sweetheart strapless from Target, which meant it was too cheap to be altered (due to the way it was put together). So I had to stand there with my boobies damn near falling out of my dress all during the ceremony, and the reception until my mom could get to the wedding with a cartigan for me to wear. MIL told me at the reception that I looked "very voluptous". Which is her code word for "oh my GOD my son is marrying a WHOAR".

    I HATE TYLER PERRY. HATE.
it annoyed me when Precious came out and all the people involved with the movie were like, "I was abused too." it annoyed me when Mariah Carey was all, "My first husband abused me. Well, there's different kinds of abuse." it was like she was trying to have the credentials to "deserve" to be in the movie.
