Friday Night

Re: Friday Night

  • Is Muni still in here? If so, I texted you and I have questions.
  • Thanks for validating my whines, guys. :) Its true that I will save money, but I still hope to be invited to the bridal shower and bachelorette -- I am pretty close with her sister who I'm pretty sure is the MOH. I'll make sure I will get all of us HS girls invitations to those things. I couldn't imagine us not being invited though, hah.

One of the other girls in that same group (my WP) is also engaged but their wedding planning is kinda just in limbo right now. I can't wait to plan a shower for her.

  • Okay. These heaven things are probably the most magical thing I have ever baked. Ever.
  • LDY, we have a GTG next week! You'll get to talk to lots of us IRL then!
  • LDY - It's understandable. Are you a SAHW by choice atm? Or are you having a problem finding a job? It sucks that you're out of commission. Maybe you should suggest a movie on the couch or something?

  • I've never been able to throw one, yet, Lizzie! My BMs put together my bachelorette and it is honestly one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me. I was so grateful because they went all out and made sure I didn't spend a cent that night. Which I know is expected, but we're all just out of college-ish and so I know they don't all have a ton of money, so it really meant a lot.

  • Oh gosh Barbie, I just read your blog! I just want to reach through the computer and hug you. I will say some prayers for you and the little one!

Well, we moved to NC for H's job at the beginning of the month, so I had to leave my job. Unfortunately I haven't found anything yet. It's only been 2 weeks, but I'm freaking out about it and I'm miserable. I hate not working. I'm tempted to go be a waitress or something I can get rather easily...<div>
</div><div>And I told him I wanted to cuddle for a few minutes and he (jokingly!) said "DIABLO WOMAN!" so I know he's into it. I'll just cuddle with Gator. He's hairy, but he's not so bad.</div>

  • Musu, I totally get feeling bummed about that. I have a feeling I won't be in too many weddings. My best friend will for sure have me in hers, but other than that I doubt I'll be a BM for anyone else. Which kind of sucks, because I love dressing up and having my picture taken, and throwing parties, haha.

Poke, I think I'm going to make those tomorrow!

  • Puppies are great cuddle replacers.

I bet your party will be fun, Lizzie! I had a man of honor instead of a woman (see sig pic, that guy next to me) and another best guy friend of mine at my bach party. It was a blast.

  • LDY - waiting tables is a good way to meet people.  And from my experience - wait people are fun to hang out with :).  And going home with cash money on the daily is nice too.

<div>I know, it's crazy! When we first planed it I was thinking it seemed so far away! Okay, off to get drinks with Muni so I can talk about my date in detail with someone! Yall have a great night! </div>
  • LDY - it couldn't hurt to do something part time while you look for something better. At least you won't be pulling your hair out. I totally get hating being out of work. I haven't been working since December. Before that I'd had a job pretty consistantly since I was 13 years old.

    Lizzie - you're just hilarious!
  • I was thinking that, Loopy. I met some great people while waiting tables before...but not when I was looking for a "professional" position. I'm wondering if being a waitress will look bad from a professional standpoint?

FTR - I loved waiting tables, I hate the hours.

</div><div>Yeah, I know what you mean! haha. I just really don't have that many friends that are close enough, I guess. And if they are, they are gay men, so they can't get married. My MOH/best friend told me that when/if they legalize gay marriage here, I'm getting some biiitch duties for his wedding, hahah. </div>

  • Has anyone booked hotels through Jetsetter before? I get their emails and a lot of the places look great, but I'm always nervous about booking through third parties - we had a credit card "stolen" through Expedia once.

</div><div>My guy friends are a mix of gay and straight. I just get on better with guys. My first boyfriend is still my best friend to this day...straight as an arrow. My other bestie is gay (he used to be my agony aunt, and I'm still his)...we all went to school together.  We all go to strip bars together.  That's always a blast.  I do have a couple of women that I'm close to, though.</div>
