  • I said "unopened their gift". WTF, drunkie. I meant opened or unwrapped and ended up combining them. Fixed now.

Pee sticks are disgusting. I don't like when people post pictures of them on FB, let alone presented it to me in person. ETA, People already said that. Sorry guys, out of it tonight.

Fucking that. These people need to get their feelings hurt.
  • Wait, Wrig?  Your aunt hadn't seen a pee stick before?  How do you make it grandparent-hood without seeing a pregnancy test?

I'm pretty sure both of these are also known as "anorexia nervosa."

But somehow, when you call it a diet, it just doesn't seem so....in need of therapy, and shiiit.

I would guess I ate around 850 - 1000 calories today total (lunch was at a local place, no idea of a calorie count, dinner was 410 calories), and I've been eating normally since the end of April, so I'm going with something else.

I'm not the first person in the world willing to take some risks to lose weight, although I think I'll shoot more for the 1000 calorie a day range. I'm an overachiever - whatever I do I do it to the max, there's no moderation in my life. I need to work on that. If I have a drink at home, I drink the bottle, if I have a cookie, I eat the entire box.

I hate being fat. I hate it. Nothing else has worked.

  • Seriously, Daff?  That is so ugh.  I wouldn't have the time or patience to do that shiiiit.  I'd be like "You know what?  Don't tell me.  I'm fine not knowing, if not knowing means I don't have to jump through a fuckton of hoops."

Remember that crazy Art of Making a Baby blog?  They took a video where they had the ultrasound tech write down the sex of the baby, then took it to the paint store, showed it to the tech, and bought the corresponding color of paint.  They didn't find out the sex until they were home...and she had like 10 meltdowns over the beauty of the moment or some such shiiiiit.

    That's vile. Wtf, people?

And I'm all about babies, can't wait to start TTC, and even think about things like how I'll announce to the parents (not the world). But I was thinking something a little cuter and more hygienic...maybe a "Grandpa/Grandma & Me" children's book or flowers sent by the baby (a la loopy) if it's near a holiday or birthday.

She's old-fashioned. If her period stopped, she'd go to the doctor for a test. I think she kind of knew what it was from seeing commercials, but she couldn't put it together because she was still in "gift" mode and thought it was a weird pen or something. Once my uncle tipped her, she recognized it.

Eating 1000 calories a day isn't healthy and neither is not being able to moderate yourself in ANYTHING.

Stefffiiiiiii - remove the cookies from the house if you can't control yourself. Get on MFP and track your food and exercise. There's being motivated, and there's being stupid when it comes to your health.

You aren't going to lose weight this way. Your body is going to eat itself. Your organs will shut down before you get into a bikini. This is NOT GOOD, especially if you have lupus.

Talk to your doctors. Be honest. Make a plan. Follow it. Get into therapy. Get off the phentermine. If your doctor knew you were anorexic (yes, you are), he would never, ever have prescribed it.

    Signed,
    A real-life psychiatrist

  • Aryn -- that was my favorite part.  They selected the shade of blue or pink before they handed him the card.  As in, went online, picked the shades, and gave him the instructions.  The last shot of the video showed them painting their wall this horrid, lurid pink.  Which they already knew they weren't using for the nursery!  They had picked lavender for a girl.

I wish I had so much time, money, and energy to waste.
