Too early for evening thread? I don't care.

Re: Too early for evening thread? I don't care.

  • Holly -- a million.

Daff-- agreed x1000.  I'm not a huge fan of taking naked baby pictures to begin with, but it's so much worse when it's on the internet.

  • Holly, try two h's instead.  Or spell it Schitt.
  • Hey, ladies!

My head is pounding from this afternoon's dentist appointment and someone straight up stole my chicken salad from our work fridge. It had my name on it and was taped shut on all side.  Didn't matter.  Who does that? Just having one of those days.  Looking forward to a 1/2 day tomorrow though. That always puts me in a good mood.

Muni, your bridezilla pic is great!
In Response to Re: Too early for evening thread? I don't care. : I just feel like it's a major affront to the privacy of the kid. I've always thought similarly in reference to nake babies in TV commercials, before the advent of the internet. Like, nobody asked the kid if they wanted their private parts splashed all over the place. I'd feel really violated if I grew up and learned that photos like that of me were shared. And I'm especially disappointed in this person, I thought she was better than that.

<div>Don't know how long I am staying.  But I just wanted to say this.  I agree with all of this. You just don't know who could get access to those naked baby pics.  My mom made a board of photos of me through the ages for my HS graduation and had a completely naked picture on it.  As soon as I realized that everything was showing I covered it.  I didn't care that I was an infant, it was just really weird.</div>
daff what about the kid from the Nirvana(?) cd cover? I wonder what he thinks.
    Posted by edielaura
Also wrong. I feel like I read something about him not too long ago, like a "where are they now" thing, but I can't remember what it said.
  • There's a picture of me and my two male cousins in the bathtub after our joint first birthday party. I literally had to fight for that picture not to show up in our slideshow for the wedding reception. Thank goodness I won.
  • Aww Angel, I'm sorry. I missed the previous sister stories but I think I remember them being alluded to.

<div>This has totally happened to me when I worked at Home Depot. I was also having a bad day so I kind of exploded when my lunch was stolen. No one knew what had happened to it, of course, but it never happened again. I think my over-the-top reaction had something to do with it. That, and I started writing messages on my stuff instead of just my name. </div><div>

  • I seriously can't stand her. She goes absolutely BSC when she's angry and there could be a lot of fall out from the stuff she said.

  • Angel, my only advice is that you should think about if you ever hope to have a relationship with her.  If the answer is yes, keep her in but only give her the need-to-know details.  If the answer is no, kick her out, but be prepared for the fallout (both from her and your parents).

  • Ok I'm back. Sorry, my dad wanted to talk about some stuff before he heads off to his FI's for the evening.

I agree that this will be the wake up call he needed. I don't know any other way I could make it clear to him that I mean business and this is not something we can just figure out after the wedding.

Aryn, I have been thinking about the wedding date. My thought is that if within 30 days all the schitt isn't done, Oct. 6th is no longer going to happen, and we can talk about whether we're postponing or moving on. For now, I have faith that it's going to happen and we can still make our date. I talked to him tonight and he told me he's going to make me proud, and I'm trying really hard to trust that.

Stlrz, his reaction was not what I expected. First he was hysterical. Like, howling crying for about an hour and a half, off and on. When I finally went to pack, he was sitting in the living room sobbing and talking nonsense. Then, when I had everything packed up and was ready to walk out the door, I lost it and he said he had to be strong for me and completely pulled it together. He even helped me load up my stuff without another tear.

And spine.... I didn't even know I had one like this. I think it took a whole lot of anger and fear mushed together into a fireball to finally build one.

    But, but why?

Angel, I'm a proponent of completely cutting off toxic people.
  • I just get pissed off about the curse words on TK thing. This is a WEDDING forum. Most of the people on here are grown adults (all of them should be in my opinion, but I'm not going to launch into a teen wedding tirade) and as such, should be able to use whatever foul, indecent, an unladylike language we so choose.
