I'm very surprised that your H isn't fighting this battle more for you.  It's good for your to stand up for yourself, but his family needs to know that he stands behind you on this and that being shitty to you is being shitty to him.

Maybe they thought they were playing a harmless prank, but this seemed more like laughing AT you rather than laughing WITH you.  I'm not familiar with the song, but those lyrics that a PP posted were not nice in this context.

I'm so sorry you had to go through this on your wedding day, but try to remember all of the other great things that happened.  #1: you married the man you love.

Hell NO you are not overreacting. What a bunch of immature, childish shitheads. They are making fun of someone because of where they're from, but they are the ones acting like complete assholes. Too much to drink maybe? That is unbelievable to me. Grown adults acting this way. So sad. I would have wanted to wipe those smirks off their faces with my fist.
