    Exactly.

BUT the way Erin (I think it was Erin?  Too lazy to check) said it did indeed make it sound like she wouldn't marry someone based solely on their fashion choices.  So...you know, there's that.

I really DON'T have an inside voice. I think this is why this task was so difficult.

Yeah, I said it like that J&K. I was being flippant. I would have married my H if he wanted to wear flip flops and swim trunks to our wedding.

ETA: The original thread just pissed me off because Santana's FI sounded like a total d!ck.

I can't make her do anything.  I tried to make her stop drinking once.  I feared for my life.

    And thanks!

Got it.  I don't think I "know" you well enough to read into your tone.

Also, if my H had wanted to wear flip flops and swim trunks to our wedding, I would have been thrilled because I would have won the DW battle.

I say we go into each one and tell them that they're evil if they won't allow children, and we'll call Child Protective Services since they're obviously denying these children a basic right.

My thought, in the short time I saw her earlier, was that if she's lurked for any decent amount of time, she would know that jumping into the morning thread is what works best. Oh well, NBD to me.
  • Slip n slides are the best. I bought one with some friends a couple years ago. We broke it, and ended up so bruised because the only good hill (thanks for being so flat Kansas) was also a little rocky, but it was so fun!

  • I will use any excuse to get on a slip 'n slide. H wouldn't buy one, though, since he didn't want to call my dad and explain why I was getting a fence post removed from my face.

    I'm not coordinated.

  • You cannot have a slip n slide at your wedding without dictating the attire of your guests. Therefore, you cannot have a slip n slide. UNLESS your favors are swimsuits. Then you're golden. Pool party reception. I hope we see one of those this year. But not just a "there will be a pool if you care to swim" one. An "all guests are expected to wear swimwear and floppy hats" one. Pool party reception could be the fish checker of 2012.

  • Mel, true story, Rodolfo suggested having our wedding at a public pool. Granted, it's on top of a big hill in the center of the city, and there would have been a nice view, but no.

    Yep.
I also flame that MOH yesterday who was whining that the bride wasn't giving her enough to do and wouldn't come with her when she invited the bride to look at flowers.  She was even questioning whether or not to drop out because she was the backup MOH and the bride made that pretty clear to her.
