How often do you talk to your (F)ILs?

I talk to my parents at least once a week, and usually get together every week or every other week for Sunday dinner.  FI talks to his parents approximately the same amount, and we see them about once a week or at least every 2 weeks.  I am in less direct contact with his parents (I don't call them to chat) but still see them every week or every other week.

Fi talks to them on the phone maybe every other week. 
We see them in person (sans wedding) maybe 2-3 times a year.  They live 8 hours away.  They have never come to visit us. 

EDIT - I talk to my parents/sibs daily on the phone.  We see them almost once a month.  They live 4 hours away.  Visit us as often as we visit them.

If my mom was alive I'd probably talk to her every other day.  If not everyday.

My FI talks to his parents about once a week and I talk to them a couple of times a month

FI talks to his parents about every other week.  I interact mostly with FMIL via email every couple of weeks.  I agree with the pps about cell phones, I never answer FI's phone so I don't talk to them much.  I call my mom every day and talk to my dad about every week or so.  FI does not talk to them very often, only if he happens to answer my phone.

FMIL calls about once a week to chat with me specifically, once or twice more with some goal (I'm going to Costco, do you need anything?).  FFIL and I chat less frequently, but he calls FI a couple times a week to talk about business-related things.  They only live an hour away, so we rarely pass more than two weeks without seeing them.

My parents and I talk several times a week, almost but not quite once a day.  However, they live 1500 miles away, and I see them only three or four times a year.  FI talks to them on special occasions mostly, but they get along great.

I have to say that it means the world to me when FMIL calls me just to chat, because a few years ago there would have been absolutely none of that.

My FILs live 5 miles down the road and help with childcare-- so yeah. Plus when I first started dating FI, his mom got really sick and I would visit her a lot and help take care of her, and then just this past winter, I helped her take care of her dying mother. What's funny, I spend more time with my FMIL than my mother. We go to the casino and have drinks often and this summer we went to several concerts at the casino-- strange world this Kansas...

I've met the FILs twice--both times were this year. FI calls his parents usually every week. They live 2,000 miles away, so it's not like we can drop by.

My parents, on the other hand, are literally a mile away. I see them a few times a week. FI sees them more like once a month.
