  • The Witness - the new Nora Roberts book.  It was decent.

<div>I've never had dulce de leche. I really want to try it though. </div>
  • Yay  Daff. If our a/c was down I'm sure DH would have us in a hotel.  He is an a/c addict.  It's bad.

I'm not a pie fan.  They are okay, but I'm not really fan.  Cheesecake.  Well I can eat cheesecake every single day.

  • I've never had Cheesecake factory. I really wish I had some cheesecake, from anywhere. That sounds delicious.
  • H's spaghetti sauce is on the stove and smells so yummy. Time to get my butt kicked by Jillian Michaels. I'll be back later if anyone's still around.  Good night to everyone else!

Yeah, I am as well. I can't live without it. I think my excessive use of it is my worst transgression against the environment.
  • We do not have AC. I wish we did.
  • I might have to go find Cheesecake Factory.  It's important to know where those are :).

I think Cheesecake Factory sells their cheesecakes online and ships them anywhere in the US. That wouldn't help you for tonight, but if you ever want to try it in the future, I'd recommend it! My ex sent my family a cheesecake for Christmas and it was awesome.

<div>DH sets the a/c at 68.  He was gone 2 days before I was like WTF?  Why am I in a sweatshirt and long pants when it's 80+ degrees out and DH is gone?  I like a little air, but he take sit to an extreme.</div><div>
</div><div>His excuse now is because it's so much cheaper than in ST Thomas.  And Chef D's breed does not do well in hot weather.  </div><div>

  • Ours will probably be at 68 when H is home, but I set it at 72 for just me.  But we like it cold at night so we turn it down to like 66 at night.
  • Lynda, My FI turns the AC on all the time. I especially hate it when he turns it on at night because it got hot in the house during the day but it'll be getting down to the 40s at night. I wake up freezing.
  • Crash! If you're still around -- just creeped through your pics and they are so lovely! You looked like such a glowingly happy bride. :) The joy at your wedding was very clear in the pictures, congrats! I didn't even know you got married, I thought you were a June bride for some reason.

I'm back at my parents for the week. J went back to school, and Tory is at my ILs for the week so that she doesn't distract me. :( I miss my puppy within hours of not being with her. I'm pathetic.

  • I'll invest in the dessert delivery company. I'd also be a customer! FI is dishing up some rainbow sherbert for me now and then off to bed I go. 4:30 comes quick, especially on Mondays.

<div>Ours is never turned off. I hang-out in the living room under a blanket EVERY SINGLE DAY of the year.   It's like it's a part of me now.</div>

  • I'm trying to avoid using the AC when I can help it. I wont' have it at all in England so I'm trying to get used to it here where it gets REALLY hot so it won't be quite so bad over there.
  • Rainbow sherbet sounds delicious. I have some yummy rocky road ice cream, but it gives me terrible canker sores. Maybe I should run to the store.

We rarely mess with the heat in our house because we're the top floor of a split-level turned duplex. Our downstairs neighbors heat us (on accident, I suppose), so all our thermostats are set completely off.
  • I grew up with my pool in my backyard as an AC unit, heh. We didn't have central air, so we used those crappy window units that barely can cool one room. Now that I have lived in central AC the past few years, I have come to appreciate window units. I hate the crisp feeling that central AC gives.

  • Ditto Crash, you look fabulous.

Evening ladies, hanging out with my daughter before she heads back to college tomorrow.  We had a great weekend doing girl stuff.
  • For all the New Orleans ladies, I'm jealous about Jazz Fest. Used to have so much fun when I lived there.

  • Musu - I actually love that crisp feeling. I'm going to miss it : (
  • I prefer central air to window units, but I try not to use it unless it's really hot.  I don't have it on here at the moment.

Glad you had fun this weekend Ski.
  • Hi Ski. Glad you had a great weekend.

I doubt Ski has central air at her StJohn place.  The are mostly mini-splits.  Which IMO are pretty cold.  At least they are more efficient than window units.

  • I guess I don't like that the crispness makes the air feel stale. I like the moisture that the window units seem to keep in the air. I also only have to deal with it for like 4 months of the year, so meh. :) We haven't had a heat or AC button turned on since like the middle of February which is really weird. Usually we have the heat on til around now, haha.
