Sunday Evening

Re: Sunday Evening

• Love it, MuSu! You looked so pretty, I really love the way you had your hair done. The blonde girl in the beginning of the video doesn't look that thrilled to be getting hers done though, lol. Also, I'm going to be carrying a brooch bouquet as well!

• I'd love a professional videographer, but it's just not in the budget. I will ask a good friend of mine to record the very important parts of the wedding though. You know, so at least I'll have SOME video to look back on.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Sunday Evening : I feel ya and it's definitely tough. I never ever imagined we'd uproot our lives like we did but it was H's dream. He would not have gone through with it if I really didn't want to go but I couldn't see keeping him from his achieving this goal of his. I felt like it would've been with me forever...all the what-ifs and wondering if he secretly resented me. But I love him and helping him reach his dream became a dream of mine. If that makes sense. I know it might sound lame and maybe old-fashioned to some. But it's true.

What does your H do?

And yeah, the resentment he could feel towards me is definitely a factor, but I'm also worried I'm going to resent him for uprooting us. I wish I could say that helping him reach this dream was becoming a dream of mine, but frankly, I hate it. If it happens, I'll have to suck it up because I love him, but it's going to be tough.

Lol, I noticed that too, haha I was like wtf she looks pissed. I think it was one of those moments where a person kinda spaces out, haha and got caught on camera. :)

Brooch bouquets are awesome! :) I love mine and being able to keep it as a memento to display in our house. Do you have a color scheme or is it more all over the place? (for the bouquet specifically)

• Poke - I'll defintely be buying it... I seriously don't have a crafty bone in my body. They're expensive, but I just love them so much.

Okay ladies. I'm feeling a little off so I'm going to take a shower and get to bed. Nighty night : )

ETA: That is such a worth it cost though Angel.
• Good night poke!

Angel -- I was going to just buy one too, but when I saw them on etsy, I couldn't believe how much they ran for. But if you can afford it, definitely, they are amazing! We DIYed it and I think it came out to be about $100. I am like the LEAST crafty person ever. But I even managed to do it, with the assistance of my mom. I'm still kind of amazed it worked, hah.

• HOLY crap. Angel. That is freaking gorgeous. I take it you have purple as a color? haha.
image
• Yup, I believe I'm doing purple and silver for my colors. I haven't decided 100% yet because I haven't had to, but I think that's what I'll do. I was going to do blue and silver, but I really like purple as a wedding color.
imageWedding Countdown Ticker
• Purple is really pretty. Purple & Blue together is gorgeous too. Blue & Silver sometimes is overdone in winter weddings, so I like your choice of purple. :)
image
• Also? I saw the ad says that the bouquet will be 2 pounds... those bouquets have at least 30 more brooches than mine did (mine had about 35). I'm pretty sure mine was like 5 lbs, lol.

He's pursuing his Masters in Landscape Architecture at LSU. We were both born and bred in Southern California so it's been an adjustment. We had nice steady jobs, life was pretty good. H quit his job and moved down here in August. I had to stay behind for a few months and I'm the biggest baby ever but I survived. And we did this all while planning a wedding (I don't recommend it though LOL).

And don't get me wrong, it's not easy. Some days, some weeks were hell. And I still have my moments. I did resent him some days. I was depressed. It is tough. But I have to keep looking at the big picture...that he's really doing it for us and our future and most importantly...it's only temporary. We are moving back in a few years, we still even own our house out there. He has 2 more years here, then he wants to get experience with a big firm, on the East Coast or possibly even Europe (gulp!). I've given him one year for that and I actually can't wait for that part.

It is definitely an adventure. There's good and some not so good times. But I can't deny the fact that we are stronger as a couple than I think we ever could have been staying in our comfort zone back home.

I agree, which is part of the reason I think I'm going with purple... you expect to see it more in the spring and summer. I also thought about red, but while I love red shoes and clothes and accessories, I didn't really want red flowers or decor, so I nixed that.

I like your thinking! :) I didn't ever in my life imagine that I would choose red for my wedding colors. But I realized that after getting my dress and picking my venue, the deep crimson red was perfect and I paired it with the charcoal grey. I felt it kept it wintery in a "warm" way. ;)

It's great to hear that you're doing okay with it, even though it's not easy. I guess I would also have to keep in mind that it would only be temporary. FI is always telling me I need to learn to leave my comfort zone in general, which is something I'm not good at doing. I have pretty bad anxiety, so I tend to avoid anything that might trigger it... moving away and having an H in the military is definitely one of those things.

Your wedding was absolutely gorgeous. I also think I'll go with purple because it will go well with our venue:

• That bouquet really is gorgeous, Angel. And yay for purple weddings!
imageAnniversary
• Thanks, I really love it a lot! I'm waiting until closer to the wedding to buy it though, just in case I come across something I like better.

• Yikes, just realized it's midnight! Guess I better go make our lunches. I don't know how I'll sleep tonight (woke at noon & took a nap from 4-7 pm) but I should try.

Good night, Angel (and anyone else who's still around). See you tomorrow!
