Morning!

Re: Morning!

  • Okay can we change the subject now? haha

  • One time, I was having a really bad day (my mom was in the hospital, things were going down at work, etc.) and all I wanted was a cheeseburger. We walked downtown to Rosie O'Grady's and nobody came to greet our table. So we got up and left, and went to a brewery right down the street. I figured, you can't have a brewery without a burger! And boy, was I wrong. It had been such an awful day, that the cheeseburger was the last straw and I started crying right there in the restaurant. I was so embarrassed.

I'm pretty sure people thought FI was breaking up with me.

[QUOTE]I could handle wild tarantulas. I see a cockroach though and I go into hysterics. Those things give me the heebie jeebies. And FL has ones that fly! I stayed with my aunt in FL for a month once and one flew at my head. Ugh, I still shudder when I think about it.

<div>A few morning ago at 6:45am there was a knock at the door.  It's a secure building so it was very strange.  I opened the door at it was our neighbor whom I've spoken to twice since we've been there. She is not anti-social, she is a neurosurgeon and we just keep opposite hours.  Anyway, the poor lady was terrified.  Apparently she saw a roach and wanted to know if we had any spray to kill it.      </div><div>
</div><div>I guess you have to really be terrified if you wake up your neighbors at 6:45am to get a bug killed.</div>

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • Ugh. My movie date with my nephew is just not working out. The closest theater is only showing Madagascar in 3D. Which means tickets are $10. That's just too much for a matinee movie.
  • Morning ladies.
I'm painting my toes and half watching TV. There has been almost nothing on this weekend.

We went to go see Ted with the ILs yesterday. Holy crap, that movie is hilarious!

I woke my roomate up at 4:00am, once.

Roaches FREAK ME THE EFF OUT.

And in florida, they DO fly and they are very aggressive.  They don't fly away from you.  they dive bomb your motherfucking head.

ETA: I don't currently have a roomate besides H.  clarity.

  • Ok, this is weird.

DH just got a email from a non-hotel guest saying the hotel is racist for not having a brunch during Essence fest next weekend.      DH stopped ALL Sunday brunches last August (except for x-mas, Easter and mother's day) because brunches are not profitable.

It's amazing what people will do to get free stuff.

<div>I hate when people pull the race card for stupid shiiit. Well, I hate when they pull the race card for anything actually. </div><div>
</div><div>And for clarity - IMO pulling the race card and actually being the victim of racism are not the same thing. </div>
  • Hello all... I'm over at mom and dad's using their wireless to work (and surf TK). DH just called, he's napping until I come home with dinner. LOL
