Oh good!  We got the Grey Cup down..the Riders are Saskatchewan's CFL team.  People here are slightly obsessed..they made legal Saskatchewan Roughrider license plates for your car (not just the flimsy little ones you can put on the front of your car..the one that's actually on the back with a license number on it).

By the time I start knotting for the day, a lot of threads are already filled with the same thing I would say.  Do we really need one more person to say it's rude to invite someone to the reception but not the ceremony?

Oh yeah, and I hate the word "tacky" so I had to give myself some time to desensitize myself to it.

Sarcastic. Which is bad, cause too often I forget to add the tone that goes along with it and people think I'm serious.

Bargaining.  I didn't realize until I started working at my current job and my boss pretty much trained me to get the best deal possible.  I manged to get my venue at a third of the normal cost!

I'm trying to finish up my PhD in Biophysics but am completely convinced I'll end up doing something entirely different-like event planning or working for a nonprofit in development.

3. How long have you/did you lurk before posting?  I'm mostly on GIS, I lurked there maybe a month before posting.  I've lurked on E for a few months now since GIS is sometimes slow.

4. If you are coming out of the Knot Closet today, why'd ya wait so long? I'm only around sporatically so I felt like people wouldn't ever get to know me/recognize me.  Today I decided to go for it.

5. Style of humor?  I'm pretty sarcastic.  I hate stupid humor.

ETA: 7. I'm neither for nor against Tom Hanks.  I generally think his movies are good, but I don't have a strong desire to run right out and see every movie he does as soon as it comes out.

Yeah it can be frustrating at times. I also think it's harder for women to get the swing down when they first start playing. It takes awhile to learn how to swing smoothly and powerfully. I only play 5-10 times a year now but I still have a decent stroke and overall game because of all of the years I've played. It's kind of like riding a bike. If I hadn't started so young and taken lessons when I was younger I don't think I'd play nearly like I do now.

And don't worry about the SN. I dont expect people to get it. :-P
