    Birdie is wise.  My mom's best friend's son married his wife in secret.  He's military and got sick so they contacted his wife.  Mom's friend got suspicious about that - why contact the girlfriend?  That's not standard military protocol!  So she checked public records for where he was stationed and, by george, wouldn't you know she found out via the internets that her son was married?!  I bet you can guess how that went over.

    I am in the same boat and we were thinking about it too. We have decided not to though. I wouldn't want to deal with my mom finding out. lol.
