Really Early Evening Thread

Re: Really Early Evening Thread

  • I had a pet bullfrog when I was little. I'd feed it flies from the attic.
  • I have the same problem when I try to do too many things at once Wally.
  • Some kids I used to babysit would go out to a field across from their house and catch frogs.  I actually am not afraid of them, but they are annoying at night when I'm trying to sleep and they are croaking right outside my window.

  • Gah! Stupid Internet. It keeps making me unplug and restart the damn router. That and I can't figure out how to sync my iPad to the calendar on my iPhone., which is synced with FI's . Also, I got almost all of my stuff back from the cloud on my MacBook, yay! I think I'm going to call it a night. I have to get up early and work on my psych paper. Finals are next Thursday, then it's off to the beach house. I can't wait!

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Really Early Evening Thread : You live drafted already?  But teams (in the NFL) aren't even final yet.  That's weird. I did a TK league once, and it was awesome.  Then I was going to do it the next year, but I got too busy, plus there were like 18 teams in the league, and having that many teams super sucks and I hate it.  I'm playing in H's work league.

<div>I've done my live draft already too. It sucked. I would love to do the TK one, but 18 teams is WAY too much.</div>

  • I did TK one the last 2 years, but it wasn't that much fun just cause there were so many teams there were literally no options for backups in some cases.

Chrissy - what event is your friend in?
  • Loopy, that's how my league is this year. We have 10 teams, so there were not a ton of choices.

  • Good night Lizzie!

  • Done with the pics. That took freakin' forever.

Gymnastics has been kind of painful to watch tonight. The guys who just landed on his knees? OUCH

  • I'll keep my out for that Lizzie.  I'm still at the pool.
  • Haha.. Chrissy - I obviously have olympics on the brain :).
  • I forgot that I knew Linsey Whalen, the Olympic skier. Her uncle was my moms boss when I was younger so we used to play together.

  • My brother knows some of the swimmers.

I'm so excited to be getting my hair done tomorrow.  My color is blah and I love having my hair played iwth and my scalp massaged.  It feels so decadent.
  • Yeah it was funny seeing her uncle in the crowd too during Vancouver. I was like I know them!

  • I'm so excited, I just got a call about a job I applied for and I have an interview on Wednesday!

Loops, going to the salon is awesome. Enjoy your scalp massage!

  • I remember dreaming with my cousin I would grow up and play basketball in the Olympics and she compete in gymnastics. Silly girls Night Lizzie I'm ambivalent to frogs (I think that's the word I want) I am cracking up at my beer of a headache - oddly enough, it left me shortly after I left work!
~~Mendi~~ ...Everyone has their price; mine's chocolate Photobucket
  • Loop, I'm getting mine done tomorrow too! Can't wait.

I might get it cut quite a bit. I was growing it out for DD's wedding, but now am thinking an updo might be a bit much for MOB.

  • YAY Sara - good luck on your interview!  Are you replacing a job you don't like or are you not working right now?
  • Thanks guys!

Loopy, I'm working part time since I'm still in school. I tutor, so this is another part time position for a 3rd grader. AND they live literally down the street! I'm excited.

  • Yay, Sara! Will send good vibes your way on Wednesday! You will do great!

  • Wally - my mom's was about chin length'ish if I remember right, and she had her hair done with us, but they mostly just straightened it and pulled the sides back and clipped them.  She looked great!
  • I think that is very similar to what I want. Just so it is out of my face and I don't look too stern. I think with my bangs pulled straight back, I look a bit severe. Do you have a pic of your mom's hair?

<div>I think that would work. My dress has a little rhinestone thingy on it, so a rhinestone bobby pin would work.</div>

  • Wally - In my bio (link under my sig pic) on the "getting ready" page second or third down is her zipping me up.  It's little.  Let me see if I can find a better one.
  • I'm tearing up watching Missy's medal ceremony right  now.

  • I'm going to school so I can teach. I want to teach 3rd-5th grade, possibly special education.

I tutor grades K-6 (sometimes higher levels depending on the subject). I do homework help, math, spelling/reading/writing/English, study skills, and test prep. Right now I have one student that I've been with for about 8 months, and she's starting 4th grade next week! The one I'm interviewing for is 3rd grade.

  • Pretty, Loop.  I also like your  mil's hair do
