.....I need help deciding how I should feel about something. I am engaged to a wonderful man whose sister is getting married in a month. I just discovered that his sister invited his ex-wife to her wedding. Please keep in mind that the sister doesn't like his ex-wife and his ex-wife doesn't like his sister, but as a "peace offering," his sister decided to invite his emotionally unstable ex-wife to "keep the peace."
While I know my fiance' and I can behave, I'm not so sure if his ex-wife can. Not only that, but their children know how much their mother hates me, and it obviously causes them stress. So now what began as something we were all looking forward to has turned into a stressful event.
So should I be offended that his ex-wife was invited? I understand that it's her wedding and she can invite whomever she wants, but her brother is her flesh and blood....why would she invite someone who obviously causes him a great amount of stress? Any input would be appreciated.
