It's particularly bad today because it's easter.

I can get on board with that Fishy, especially about the Easter part.

My mom is pissed at her SIL (dad's brother's wife) because she doesn't feel up to hosting our family reunion this year and that she doesn't spend enough time with my grandfather (who lives next door).  Her oldest just moved to Mexico (possibly never coming back) and her youngest is in the army, so she's depressed right now and doesn't want to host everyone (30+) this summer.  My mom doesn't have any sympathy for her and is going on about how she has had to get used to her own kids' choices (but still going to visit them).  I'm thisclose to reminding her that it's been SIX years since she's come to visit me.

I want to be mad at my mom on my aunt's behalf, but it's Easter.

Easter is a perfect day to be mad at people.

I'd be upset, too.

I'm pretty sure my aunt will change her mind between now and August but my mom's already making a mountain out of a molehill about it.  And she wonders why I don't tell her anything.
