Hiya! I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas, filled with lots of love and family time. We spent the weekend with my parents-it was nice to be there, but also nice to know that home was only an hour away if things got chaotic . I'm all cozied up in my pj's drooling over some absolutely amazing houses here in STL and wishing that we were ready to buy.

I was going to start a night thread, but it seemed to late- thanks Jill! We had a busy weekend, and I ended up with the Great Christmas Cold. So I am cuddled on the couch in PJs too, sipping tea and throwing cat toys. My mom went crazy buying us cat toys and thus Tyra is having a ball. It's almost football time, so we are looking forward to the game.

We left the ILs this morning. It was the last time we will probably be in their housewith them as they leave to move to FL in 2 weeks. It was sad. We love house porn. We get a new couch from Ell's parents though when they move so that's cool.

Merry Christmas everyone! 

Our christmas was good.. I worked all weekend...but it wasn't so bad. I work in a hospital so it could have been worse I could have been IN the hospital..

The FH and I both had the day off today so we got to spend time together...

currently looking at wedding porn..we just got engaged so im super obsessed lol.

Darth FI got me an AMAZING makeup case and some very nice makeup brushes.  It was an AWESOME surprise!

We got an air purifier and love it! As well as some kitchen stuff and Keurig K cups. And tons and tons of leftovers.

Nicki, it sounds like everyone is sick! My dad and sister were both fighting sinus infections, so I'm sure it's just a matter of time before I end up with something. We didn't really do presents this year with the wedding, and my family decided to donate to charity instead of doing a big exchange, but this was one of the nicest holidays that we've had in a while

Ell and I didn't do gifts for each other yet. We just couldn't afford it. But I'm getting him tickets to TMBG in March, and he's getting me a sewing machine. it was a lovely Christmas with our families despite money being tight.

Wow, Jill.  You'd never be able to find a house like that in my area for that price.  Unfortunately I have champagne taste on a water budget, so I won't be able to afford a house ANYTIME soon.

Right? It would definitely take some work, but holy cow. We've been kicking around the idea of a project house, especially since we're both on board with waiting to have kids for quite a while yet.

Tomorrow starts the rest of my holiday travels.  I am looking forward to seeing the people I'll be visiting, but I am NOT looking forward to all that time in the car.  What in the world was I thinking when I decided to do this?

Strlz, we did that last year, because H had to work the day after Christmas. We were in the car for 10 hours on Christmas day. No fun.

I am driving 9 hours to NC tomorrow, 5 hours to Hilton Head on Friday, and 12 hours back to PA next Monday.
