Hey all!! I was wondering if anyone has ever attended an event at Russo's on the Bay? I was wondering if anyone can give me some pros and cons about the place, and the price per plate for a Nov 2013 Saturday night wedding. I am planning around 200 guests! I would greatly appreciate any info anyone can give me! thank you.
Re: Russo's On the Bay, Howard Beach.
Cons:
- minimal outdoor picture space
- three events at the same time
- decor is a bit on the "traditional" side w/the granite/marble floors & ornate chandeliers, etc.
I have been to several events there!
Pros: Food is amazing and plentiful
Cons: Not really a great view for pictures, very "wedding hallish" (if that makes any sense)
Also! You can make your entrance into the reception on a pedestal with smoke, lights, etc. Not sure if that's your style, but I thought it was pretty cool.
I'm getting married at the Riviera in Brooklyn. I was there for my friends wedding and it was AMAZING!! They do one wedding at a time and they have a beautiful garden with a waterfall in the back. We will be getting married in the garden area. It's also a block from Coney Island. If you want the whole viennese hour it will run you about 145 p/p without I believe is 135p/p. They give your guest 12 choices for dinner and they are allowed 2nd's and 3rds!
