I joined the Knot about 2 years ago but didn't actually know about the boards and rarely used the website but as our wedding is getting closer I've been lurking more and just started posting a little while ago.

She's doing well, relatively speaking. She's still pretty sensitive to light and sound, which is totally normal, and is still pretty nauseaous. Two of the nurses basically force-fed her through her feeding tube the other day, after she told them repeatedly that they were giving her too much. She got super sick from that, so she's been a little bit leery to try actually eating anything. Oddly enough, her voice has almost totally come back, which is awesome, since she was down to a whisper prior to the surgery-they had planned on having her work with a speech pathologist. As long as they're able to get her to swallow food without choking and her surgery site continues to heal properly, she should get to go home early next week. Then she's got another 11 weeks off of work.

And HOLY BOOK BATMAN. You don't have to read all of that ^

Hello everyone!

luckyme- I see you're getting married in July too. It's coming up so quickly!

crfische- I totally love the rocking chair but maybe it would be better if you didn't get her name on it so she can pass it down to others when she gets too big for it. I know all about spoiling nieces and nephews. I have one adorable niece who is just 2 weeks old and a 20 month old nephew. I adore being an auntie!

If you (or someone else in your family) is artsy, they could always paint over it with a new name.  When I was little I LOVED things with my name on it.  Since then it was all mine

There was no option for being a newbie! I'm just newer to the boards but post occasionally. I don't think people really know me yet! I'm not afraid to post but I don't post all the time because my computer is terribly slow and it's sometimes not worth the effort!

Hi crfische!

I'm pretty new, just started floating around The Knot boards after I got engaged in April. I mostly lurk but I post a little bit and I'm sure I will be doing so more and more and time goes on. I like the E board best and think most of the people here are fabulous!
