Grown up flip flops

I am in the market for some grown up flip flops.  My Old Navy $5 flip flops might be a little inappropriate for my job this summer but I don't know if I'm willing to give up flip flop freedom.  Ideas?

  • Clarks has some leather ones, if you have a casual office.  I can't wear flip flops to work :(

Volatile. They're a little more grown up looking, have cute prints, some platforms, and are super comfy. They're expensive for flip flops though, but they'll last forever.

  • I really like Born sandals.  They're really comfy and more adult-looking.

  • Target. They have nice flip-flops that are not of the plastic variety, and are relatively inexpensive.

Yes!  I love target for shoes like that.

Also, my current favorite pair of flip flops came from American Eagle.  They're brown leather and pretty comfortable.

There are some really cute ones on sale from Jcrew right now

    Oh, and check aldoshoes.com too.
  • I'm in love with the Sanuk flip flops I saw and DH bought for me.  I balked at the $25 tag, but I think these will last me from years to come.  They're made from the same material as a yoga mat, very comfortable and cushy.
  • Thank you.  These look promising.  I appreciate the help.

  • What's the dress code like?  I have never worked anywhere that I could wear flip flops, even non-plastic ones, except work-study in college.

Not sure that this is what you are looking for, but I got a pair of Fit Flops last year and I am so in love with them.  I'm not going to tell you they've transformed my legs or anything, but they've eased back pain and they are super comfortable.  They have perfect arch support.

As for leather sandals and slides, I really like Bass.

My mom and sister are obsessed with their Fit Flops for the same reasons you mentioned.

I'm not a flip flop wearer but I own an excessive about of Sperrys boat shoes.  I love them.  They make really cute leather sandals also.

YES!  I was in a similar position, I love flip flops but just felt like I needed something a little more...I don't know, NOT flip flops.  I got these at Payless about 2 weeks ago and I freakin love them.  They are super comfortable and they look like flip flops but stay on my feet because they're actually sandals.  They are hanging up near the flip flops if you go into the store to find them.
