Rotate text in Photoshop?

I'm redoing that darn map.  Is it possible to rotate text?  I want to make the road names follow the contour of the road as much as possible.  And, I've googled, but either this doesn't exist or I haven't used the right words yet.

Yes, you can definitely rotate text in PhotoShop.  I'm not sure how, though.

I don't have Photoshop so I can't tell you how from experience but I googled and there was a ton of info there:

Make sure the text is on a separate layer. Then go under Edit and then Transform. There is a rotate option in there.

Are you wanting to rotate the text or have it follow a curved path? Two different things.

Prefer the curved path, but I'll take just being able to rotate it.

To rotate, make sure the text is on its own layer. Select it. Go to edit>transform>free transform and rotate away.

Ok, I found this tutorial, but my text doesn't show up on the path.  it shows in the layer list, but not on the actual screen.  Aaauugghhh!

I figured it out.  I have no idea how, but I drug something around that made it work.
