I think you look beautiful. I only accessed the first few (sorry, my comp is thuper duper slow.)
I think ruminating on hair and makeup is a moot point because you look fabulous and natural; not something everyone can pull off. You're not smiling much in the pics I see, but I still think they're great!

Well thanks I'm overall really disappointed. But maybe the others will look better? I think I just tried to pull off a style I'm not really made for. Shoulda been my happy smiling self!

Aw Whit, I'm sorry you are disappointed with the pics. But there are 300 altogether, so I'm sure you will find some that you like!

On wedding day, my photogs were telling me to pose with attitude and to be sassy. I don't do sassy and I told them that, but they asked me to try anyway. I look so dumb in those photos. A model I am not. I look much better smiling!

I'm sorry you're disappointed. I understand your thinking that that particular style is not yours...but, I really think they are great. Perhaps you are just not used to that style of photo of yourself, and that's the cause for worry?
I know I am not a reg to calm your fears, but I sincerely think you do look great.

Smile or no smile, they are fab, IMO.

I think it's expectations that are to blame. The pics might not necessarily be what you thought you'd get, but I guarantee if you stop looking for a couple days (hours?) and come back to them, you will love them.

Again, natural beauty is not something everyone gets to take advantage of; but you certainly do.

Aw, Whit, don't be disappointed. I think they look nice. But you're right - I think you'd be happy if you'd been bubbly. Every picture I've seen of you features a big smile. These are a different style, for sure. I hope there are others in the shoot you're happy with. But I do like the natural look.

P.S.  I wasn't trying to be a jerk.  I wasn't necessarily  happy with our engagement pictures.  I really only like 1 a lot.  There are others that are okay, but 1 I like a lot.  I even found a flaw in that one.  We always wish we could do things differently or better after the fact.  If you want me look through the 300 pictures I am sure I will find several that are gorgeous.  Just a thought.

I can only see a few pictures- I gather the rest aren't online?- but I think the first is lovely. I do get the impression that you're uncomfortable in some of the others, though, so I can understand why you'd feel that way- but I don't think it has anything to do with your makeup and/or lack of tan!

Aww...I'm sure they'll be more out of the 300 that you like.  I agree that you look really natural in them.  I don't think they're necessarily bad, but I have definitely seen better pictures of you.  Can't wait to see the rest of them though!

If you dont like the poses or how you look its not really your fault - the photographer SHOULD have been guiding you through what to do, giving you atleast some brief instruction of where to stand, where to turn, etc. I think so atleast, if she hasnt done it before she might just not know that.

Yeah, this was a totally free session because she hasn't done many of these before. She's an amazing photographer, done hundreds of weddings, but is only just now branching out to TTD and boudoir. So she probably really didn't know what to do with me.
