I heard something about Robert Downey Jr. as Haymitch.  Did you hear that, too?

I don't know what I think of that. I love Elizabeth Banks, but this seems very different for her, I guess. I'm sure she'll do great though.

I feel like I heard this before. Maybe she was just rumored for the part? When I read the book I pictured Effie as older, but I could get into Elizabeth Banks playing the role.

I sort of pictured Effie as being...I don't know.  A little older?

But then again for some reason, I never pictured Haymitch as sexy.  So my opinion probably doesn't count.

I think he could play a drunk really well, but yeah, he's pretty damn sexy.  When I think of Haymitch I think of a saggy, old crab.

I pictured her a little older.  But I think it's a good choice.  With the colored wigs and stuff I'm sure she'll look good.

Johnny Depp for Haymitch!!!

I could see Elizabeth for Effie, but I'm only halfway into #2 and I pictured her as older aswell.  I do think she can carry the pink wig though.

Actually, now that I think of it, I don't think I picture Haymitch as sexy either.  I just me some JD.

I heard the talk about Hugh Laurie (from House) playing the part of Haymitch.  That's my favorite for the part thus far.  But I don't think he'll do it.

Huh.  I could totally see Hugh Laurie as Haymitch.  I think he'd take it if there were a few more high profile actors in the movie.

I read that Hugh Laurie's peeps had said it was a negative on him being Haymitch because of schedule conflicts. I really like RDJ though.

This is actually exactly how I pictured Effie. I pictured her to be an early thirties, chipper woman. I like this pick.

I don't like John C. Reilly as Haymitch. I think that would be a bummer.
