I feel like she will understand if I ask her to step down. She can still wear a matching dress if she wants, but don't want her in the actual ceremony at this point.

If it's not okay to ask a pregnant bridesmaid to step down because she IS pregnant, why would any sane and rational person think it would be okay to ask a bridesmaid to step down because she's NOT pregnant? I'm going to step away from the MUD and join in on the Joss Whedon lovefest.

Tell your BM to go steal one of the bellies they keep in the dressing room at maternity stores. You can choose between 3,6, and 9 months depending on how heavily pregnant you'd like her to be. It's really a top drawer plan.
