I invited my close friends in the office to my wedding. I was planning on sending an invitation to the office manager (who I considered a friend), but before I could, she sent me an email stating that she discussed it with her husband and they decided that they would no longer attend co-worker weddings.
Then, today, this colleague of ours (from upstairs, IT department) comes in and starts talking about his wedding and she's going on and on about how she'll be there and when's the shower? Apparently, the "rules" she made up do not apply to him.
Then I hear that the reason she doesn't want to go is because I invited my supervisor, her boss, and my supervisor accepted. It kind of stung.
