Hey guys!  I'm at a coffee shop studying for my last final this semester, thank God!  But I got distracted because I just looked up and saw my work on the news.  The TV was muted, so I got online to see what was up, and yeah, my friend from work was just arrested for stealing patients' narcotics and taking them during her shift, then filling the bottles back up with water to cover it up.  She'll lose her nursing license and maybe go to jail over this.  I am just shocked.

This guy I use to work with went to jail. I remember just hanging out at home and I see his face on the news. He was arrested for physically abusing and neglecting his kids. I was so surprised. He was the nicest guy. He had 10 kids, I think. Five of them were his foster kids. He always talked about how good it felt to help kids that needed a home and good parents. 

I guess you never really know people.

I know, I just can't believe she did that!  She is honestly the last person I would ever expect to steal meds.  She just came back from maternity leave when this occurred, and she also has two diagnosed medical issues herself, so I'm wondering if she was in a lot of pain and desperate or something.  I'm not making excuses for her, but I'm just trying to understand how the hell this could have happened.  She has two small children, is a really sweet person, and a good Christian.  She was just nominated for employee of the year, even.  I'm blown away.  And she is still paying off loans from her very expensive private nursing school, and will be for a long time, even though she might as well kiss her license goodbye.  Just a damn shame.

Yeah that's true, I went to church with this couple and they had twin sons, one of the sons was aressted in 2007 for a home invasion where he beat a pregnant woman with a baseball bat! I couldn't believe it! His mom was so crushed, thankfully the woman and baby were okay.
