Someone cooked something in the microwave here just a moment ago. It smells like grilled cheese and it's making me starving.
Huh, so the same reasons my H wouldn't eat it. Yep. A sandwich it would be, along with a side of disdain that he can't try new things. I was taught that you had to try something before you could say you didn't like it. His family, not so much.
Posted by georgia_bride09
<div>It's actually the same in my family because my dad wouldn't even eat spaghetti (it is foreign food!!) but i still try stuff.  You'd think he'd be more open minded considering his dad is from China and his mom from Burma, but I swear he's more American than  most Americans in only eating stuff that's deep fried.</div>
• I have 2 dogs for any of those feeling the need for a dog.  I'm planning to start renting them out to help people overcome that feeling.  There's only so much poop from a 90lb lab that ANYONE wants to pick up.

My front yard is on it's way to being finished.  I'm going to finishe weeding the one side tonight then get on planting some pretty flowers in there before they bring in the gravel.  The other side still needs some work, but it's fully mulched in right now which only highlighted the one problem shrub - dark leaves on dark much makes it disappear.  I'm thinking of replacing it with a hydrangea.

I'm hungry.  I made myself mac and cheese and sausages for lunch today.  I really want to go eat that, but it's only 10:15 here.

I'm so excited that H(erbert) and I are planning to go to Mexico for our anniversary.

Happy Birthday TR!

I really want to move. I don't even care that we can't buy a house right now, but if I don't get out of the city soon I'm going to lose my mind.

I'm trying to convince H that taking a cruise would be an awesome graduation/passing the bar present to him.

I'm so not ready for a baby, but I really want to get a cat.

I would kill someone for some chocolate chip cookies about now, but I'm on a strict diet, so I can't have any. Boo.
• And, happy birthday TR

And HI ALIX!

• I'm sitting and watching I Love Lucy. It never gets old for me.

We are leaving TOMORROW to go to New Braunfels, TX to go tubing on the Comal River. It's always a blast and I am SO excited.

We've now spent 3 nights house-sitting, and I cannot wait to get back to my bed. It's not that the bed here is so uncomfortable, but my bed is just that comfortable.

I'm really bored right now, and I want a random game to play on the internet. Someone should find one for me.
• Yep, never been on a beachy vacation so I'm really looking forward to it.

Also, my arms hurt today from moving 3 yards of mulch around the yard.

I'm also willing to rent out cats to people who think they want them.  You have two options to choose from:  The insane one who'll keep you up meowing all night or Basterd cat who is simply a basterd.

• Happy Birthday TR!!

I hate that the teacher next door is showing a bootleg of Toy Story 3 eventhough my students are in there.

I hate that these 5 weeks went by soo fast. That only means that the next 5 will fly by, as well, and I will be back at work.

I cannot stand that my vidoegrapher nor photographer have called me back yet. I want to set up appts. to meet with them next month. I want to have the majority of everything done before school starts back up.

And as far as the microwaves, Clear the doggone thing!! It has a clock on it for a reason!!! LOL!!!

That is all...Carry on! LOL!
And the whole time, my future husband was in the room...... image image
• I'm eating a peanut butter and banana sandwich on whole wheat bread right now, with some baked lays.

My co-worker in a nearby cubicle is so freaking annoying with his smokers cough/throat clearing and his constant "huh?" "what?" "who?" every time someone in person or on the phone asks him a question.  Man I wish I had an office instead of a cube.

• Amoro, my dad is the same way despite teaching me otherwise. He eats chicken and bread, and occasionally beans.

moose, where in Mexico? I'm glad you're getting at least one yard done.

• I wish for an office too.

I also wish that they weren't replacing windows in our tower.  They just about gave me a heart attack today when they started removing the windows on the floor below us.  It's amazing how well the sounds of their drills carry through the walls and windows.

• Happy birthday, TR!

Oh, since we've been house-sitting, it's been interesting seeing how much H likes dogs, when he's always said that he didn't.

As soon as I get a job, we're getting one.

As for babies, since I know of a JILLION people that just had babies or are minutes away from having a baby, I have a slight hint of baby fever. I had to POAS recently and had mixed feelings when it was negative. However, I know that it's better that wasn't.

• Georgia, probably Mexican Riviera.  Haven't decided on a resort yet but we have it narrowed down, kinda.  I got it down to two resorts last night, showed them to H(erbert) and he went off and added to the list with ones he'd found.

This annoyed me because I got it down to those two resorts with the help of recommendations from friends who'd actually gone to them.  Apparently that isn't good enough.  ::insert eyeroll here::

Amoro: my whole family is like that.  I didn't try a lot of things until college because I never really thought to, or had much of an opportunity to.  My dad is the pickiest eater I've ever met, and it's ridiculous.  I feel for you if your H is that way!  You must be much more patient than I.

I am so jealous of your river trip!  I've been dying to go all summer but haven't been able to get a group together.
• moose, I booked our Orlando trip Monday, even though MIL had said we could probably get a deal through some family members that work at Universal (H and I decided to just book on our own). Well, he visited her at the office yesterday, and they speakerphoned me and told me to cancel my reservation so she could get us the deal. Apparently their deal is somewhere "super nice" for $50/night. I'd already booked somewhere that I thought was nice for $65/night. Way to flip-flip, H. It's not that I even mind, since it's only $20 to cancel, and the famly members can get me into HP Land for free, but H had already decided he didn't want to use the family discount. He's a pushover sometimes when it comes to his mom. Blergh.

Brightside: more money to buy HP merch and to indoor sky dive.

That stinks. Why don't you and your H just go together? I know that it's usually a more the merrier kind of thing, but I think you'll still have fun.
• Wow, that sucks.  But, you still get to see the whole HP thing.  I'm jealous.

Happy Birthday, TR!

I'm glad Carnival finally refunded the money for our honeymoon cruise that they canceled.  Now FI and I can book a honeymoon somewhere else.

I love my little sister so much, but her attitude the past few years has grown steadily worse.  I don't know if it's a by-product of the epilepsy, so I feel guilty getting angry with her.  But it is so hard sometimes to even have a conversation with her.  I miss the way she used to be.

I took a PT last night.  It was negative, but it was the first time that I felt like I would be okay with a positive result.  Which is crazy, because we're not even getting married for another three months.

• Speaking of PG, my dad just IM'd me and somehow that came up even though we were talking about school - he's sneaky like that (my whole family is up in my business, clearly) and he had to weigh in with his two cents on how we need to be financially stable first in case I have to stay out of work for an extended period of time. Why can't everyone just mind their own dern business? I'm almost 30. If I want a kid, or don't, I'll have one when I want to, or I won't.

When we were talking about the wedding budget with my parents, my dad started in on the questions.  "Are you going to be having a baby soon?"  "Are you going to be a one- or two-income house?"  "Who is going to babysit your child?"  Whoa whoa WHOA there, cowboy.  Can we just get married first and think about this later?

• I hate it when people would clean out the microwave after they use it or cover their food.

I hate it when people would not bring their brats to the nail salon and let them run wild. It is cool when the kids are getting nails done with mom or dad.
