Re: ~~DNB~~

  • Yeah I didn't do the SS either.  Its one thing for Andy and KJB (or a few others) to have my address, but I had no idea what people would be participating in SS.  And yeah I think all the cookie talk happened during your move.
Internet germs!  haha.  I still don't feel great, but I never really got sick, just didn't feel great.  So hopefully you'll feel better soon. In other news, I'm watching 16 and pregnant.  Good lord.

Thanks. I am going in the room first thing in the morning and spraying Lysol again. Gosh, I should buy stock in that stuff. While it helps, I always seem to manage to catch something once or twice throughout the year. Maybe if some of these parents would keep their kids home when they are hacking and coughing all over the place, the teachers and other kids wouldn't get so sick.
I want to go to bed but was hoping H would get home soon. He got called in about an hour and a half ago. He is so tired of this job, I feel so bad for him, sometimes I just don't know what to do. We can't just up and leave bc we don't have enough saved to pay all his loans for a lengthy period of time. He did tell me that he saw some job openings back home that he was going to give a shot, which is good news. With the way the economy is, there hasn't been a lot of jobs anywhere, and if there has, they all require so much more experience than he has.
    Posted by MissySue20
That stinks.  I can understand though.  I have a Master's in teaching and can't get a teaching job here.  I quit my job back home to move with H.  I had actually gotten laid off halfway through last year, but they had already offered me my job back for this year and I had to turn it down.  So now I'm stuck working a job that I like, but doesn't even pay half of what I would make teaching.  Luckily my student loans are still in deferment from when I was on unemployment, but that will run out soon.

Yup, we wanna go back to Ohio or somewhere a bit closer. Alll of our family is in central Ohio, esp when the time comes to have kids it would be nice to have family around to help.
Missy - what does your H do?  The company i work for has like 12 openings right now in everything from manufacturing engineering, shop floor supervision, purchasing, and quality engineers too.
    Posted by Loopyseven
He works for a huge corporate company. He works inside a paper mill. His degree is a blend of computer and electronics engineering. He is resident contractor. Basically, his company's machines, software & equipment control all of their paper machines.

I can give you more info if you want me to PM you. Gosh, that would be great if we could get somewhere remotely close to central Ohio. We are kinda desperate at this point. I have even toyed with the idea of going back home when this school year is over so I can get my butt back in school and make some better money. And then he would come as soon as the lease was up or he found something else.
  • I do feel bad for the girl - the dbag boyfriend sent her a text telling her she was a fat stretchmark biitch and where does he sign the papers to get rid of the mistake.  or something like that.  i would have had a meltdown at 16 if my boyfriend said something like that to me.  is this show actually real?

We called my Godson "that baby" for a while.  His real name is Anthony, but nobody knew what to call him.  Anthony seems to long for a baby, we hate the name Tony from family history with it, and we weren't sure on nicknames.  So we started saying "that baby" and it kinda stuck for a while.  Then one day we were out to lunch and 2 older women said how cute he was, and asked what his name was.  His brother, who was 2 at the time, said "we call him Nino."  My aunt and I just looked at eachother and laughed because nobody called him Nino, but after that it stuck. Sometimes I actually forget that his real name isn't Nino.

Its not an edible cake.  Its made out of baby diapers and acutally resembles a wedding cake when its done.  I've seen it a few times at showers and thought it was really clever, but never knew how to make it.  I just learned when I found that site that there are baby items inside of it too.

Yeah when she first mentioned making it I was thinking a cake in the shape of a diaper, until she mentioned the rubber bands and then it clicked for me.  This is a picture of a finished product from that site.  This is a way fancier than any I've seen though.

Yeah, I should have realized that when she mentioned rubber bands. I guess my headache is interferring with the way my brain is working right now...lol

  • I had such a horrible headache last night I wanted to cry.  I get really bad tension headaches in the back of my head and neck and all I can do is go to sleep.  I have excedrin tension headache and that helps a little, and I put a heating pad on my head to loosen the muscles a bit, but when I went to bad last night it took everything in me not to cry from the pain.  Usually H will rub the back of my head and neck when I get them so I was definitely missing his help last night.

  • I don't know what it's from - he's been like this forever, it comes and goes.  I've brought him to the vet several times, and they just keep telling me it's a result from a URI as a kitten.  I had them do a full blood panel last year to make sure something else wasn't going on.

Yeah, I get tension headaches, too. Exedrin is the only thing that works. H turned me on to it a few years ago bc he gets migraines and uses it for that as well.

I am not sure if it is just being tired and not sleeping well last night or I am getting a virus or something.
