  • I mean, I'm glad you're happy to be married and all. But watching the wedding video every day leads me to believe this person is still hung up on the actual wedding day. I know it was fun and awesome, but uh, move on.

  • Somebody doesn't have nearly enough to do...
  • You know, I rolled my eyes at the watching the video and crying thing, but I just about fell out of my chair when I saw the last line.  I don't believe that for one second.
  • Isn't it supposed to be about the marriage and not the wedding?  Why not spend the time that you would be watching the video with your H.

  • Yeah that's a little extreme. I watched our video once and was done with it. I hate seeing and hearing myself on camera. I do still look at our photo album every now and then, but I've never cried over the pictures.

I wonder how she's managed to watch it secretely every day for 2 years.

Yeah.  Can't you feel lucky by, you know, spending time with your husband?  Why do you need to watch the video of the wedding?

My MOH and I were talking about this the other day. She asked if I was having it videoed and my immediate response was, "I'd never in the hell watch the video, so no." Do people EVER watch their wedding videos? Obviously, with the exception of the KPS poster. I mean normal people.

  • We watched ours either right before we went to bed the next morning after our after party.  But that was it, I think.

i was just going to write this.  totally agree.
  • Even on the weekends? Do you say, "Honey, let's watch the video" every Saturday and Sunday? (I'm assuming he's home those days.)

Their relationship strikes me as unhealthy if it's real. Like she's putting him on a pedestal. Really, you haven't had a disagreement in 2 years? He hasn't done anything to piss you off? We all think we're lucky, but I'm sure the vast majority of us also know our spouses are human?

I told my mother in no uncertain terms that I would never watch a wedding video.  We are getting a videographer because she can't imagine NOT watching it.  Sigh.

  • I agree about the putting H on a pedestal - if this is a real secret, that ain't healthy.  I mean, I feel incredibly lucky and I know H feels the same way, but we're not moved to tears every day by it.

I only wish we had the best man's speech on video.  It was epic and it probably would move me to tears, although probably not after 730 viewings.

  • My coworker's best friend comes home to his wife halfway through a bottle of white wine watching their wedding video several times a week. Their wedding was almost 2 years ago. It's kind of pathetic.

My mom paid one of my brother's friend $50 to do the ceremony and the "important stuff" at the reception.  It's pretty bad, ha.
The only reason we did the video was to send to my grandma, who's in a nursing home and wasn't able to come to the wedding.  H just made us a copy too.
  • I lived through my wedding.....I dont need to watch it to remember how great it was.

  • I'm looking forward to having ours to watch on anniversaries and such, but I'm really sentimental like that. But watching it so often as to have memorized it? This intrigues me...
