    And you guys know where this stalemate is coming from, correct?  The Republicans are pressing to "defund" Planned Parenthood and the Deomocrats are pressing right back.

    A friend posted on FB asking if Republicans know how many Democrats will be born if Planned Parenthood goes unfunded.

    I'll move wherever the winemaker is!  I'm an internist/geriatrician, so I can do basic medicine.  H's a psychiatrist, he'll try to keep everyone from going nuts while we try to live on a farm.  :)

    I confess that I think that people who are so strongly against PP are a little wacko. You don't like abortion. Fine. Good for you. But it does so much more than that! I'm extremely pro-choice though, so take that for what it's worth.
    I certainly don't think hating PP is a good enough reason to shut down the government.

    I am with you 100%.

    Our church has a prayer they say at the end of mass sometimes; it is against abortion and for the closing of planned parenthood.

    It bugs me, a lot.

    I agree. Maybe they need to do a little more research as to the benefits of PP instead of just always playing the abortion card. I too am extremely pro-choice.

    See that's what I don't get!  The same people that want to get rid of abortion (which ain't gon' happen, yo) are the same ones who are against welfare and helping out poor single mothers (I'm obviously generalizing here). So...you want to take away their birth control, make them have unwanted babies, and give them no help? Yeah, because that makes perfect sense.
    I think if you protest PP, you should have to take one of those babies that you saved.

    I'm very pro-choice and anti-abortion, if that makes any sense. Like, I could never have an abortion myself, but what I believe for ME I don't think should have any effect on what someone else decides for THEM.
