They live about 12 hours away, and I don't make it there very often.  The last time we were all there she said she would bring them our hotel.  We called her when we got into town, sat at the hotel all night, and she never answered or called us back.  I know it's not our fault, but I still feel guilty about it everytime I think of them.

I confess that I don't like how sad this thread has made me.  I was getting a lesson from the installers so I left on page 2, and when I came back and caught up on it I have tears in my eyes.  Can we go back to happy and funny confessions?

Not so depressing confession: I have no desire to study for my biochem test that is tomorrow.  My teacher is worthless, and has made me hate that class more than any other class I've ever taken.

I confess that I'm a bit butt hurt about losing all of my friends to babies. Ok, not all of them, but everyone around me either recently HAD a baby or wants one.

I want to continue frivilously spending my money and going to happy hours.

AND YEAH, I get that you can do that when you're a mom. I GET IT, but it just isn't the same.

I actually disagree.  Sure you can do it as a mom, but I don't think that most do.  And if they do?  They're home early because of baby or they don't drink because of BF-ing.

I know. And I'm happy for them, I really am. And I LOVE their kids like crazy pants, but it just...puts us in a different life place and I love talking about their kids, but man. There's other stuff going on in the world, too. It's just different.

Thanks for the suggestion, L-bride- I do appreciate it. Any extra money we have we are spending on gifts for our families, so I don't know if that's what we'll do.  I'm trying to think of cute ways to give "gifts"- like a coupon book for free massage, an "opt-out" of a chore that needs to be done, or something. Problem is I'm *not* a creative, crafty type. i'll think of something.

I will say that reading this thread has made me realize just how damn lucky I am to be confessing about something so superficial.

OH and one last confession before a meeting.

I confess to being bummed to not being able to go on my friends' Pvnta Cana trip next summer because we'll be saving for the wedding. I'm less bummed about missing the trip than the fact that they're all planning on TTC after the trip and I'm afraid it'll be their last big shebang.

P.S. Apparently TK has something against the word "Pvunta". I don't get it.

my TTC confession is that H said that he wanted to but then took it back and wants to wait until after the honeymoon (yes I'm calling it my honeymoon).
