  • I thought they could get into tiny places, I just don't know a whole lot about cats.  One ran in my house last week and I freaked.  Luckily my neighbor was here and she is a cat person.  I don't not like them, they just scare me if I don't know them that they will claw me or jump at my face with claws out.  And this was some random cat I've never seen before.

  • And I just read the OP for the Bridesmaid height thread.  That one made me giggle.  Pick out the tall bridesmaid!  I totes made her slouch down all night.

  • Yeah that was beyond stupid.  I couldn't even post in that thread.

  • Ohhh fishsticks, i'll try that sunday.  those crosswords are the best.

  • Dammit I have seen Home Alone at least 400 times and I still cry EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

  • My favorite part is when he screams after the kid puts the tarantula on him.  That scream is phenomenal :).
  • Bring me back something French!

  • I haven't seen that movie in years... i'll put that on my weekend snowstorm to-do list.

  • Where did all you hoochie wally wallys go?

  • Working on time cards and overtime equalization sheets.  Lots of fun paperwork :)
  • Sorry I went to put my dinner together and then emailed H back.  I'm very upset with Uncle Ben's Ready Rice right now.  After I sat here and told you guys how great it is, I made myself self and it blew up in my Microwave.

  • Yeah I got myself into a little credit card debt too which stinks.  I had them all paid off and then I got laid off and then they went back up again.  It's really not too bad though so I can't be too upset.  And now I rarely if ever use them.

  • I love love rosemary and seasalt bread. MMMMMM!
  • So H just asks me what we are doing on Christmas Day.  No plans.  Perfect, at least I think so.  So he says, "BIL invited us to his FI's parents house."  Dude, why do I want to go spend Christmas day with a bunch of people I don't know?  He says, "We'll we're going to meet them eventually."
I DON'T CARE.  I don't want to go.  I just want to enjoy the day off, on the couch, just hanging out.

  • Yeah that would annoy me too.  I don't like having to do forced visits or fake conversation with strangers regardless, but definitely not on a holiday.

  • KJ, no final decision on puppy yet.

I talked to the vet today, told her all of my concerns about time away and training etc.  She didn't seem to be too worried about it all.  Said it would just take a little longer.

I'm still not sure. But it could be just my typical "change is scary, so when in doubt, don't do it" personality kicking in.

But it will guarantee that I get a full time M-F 9-6 job about two weeks after puppy comes home, so then I really won't have time for a puppy.

  • How do I get out of it?  Or do I have to suck it up?  I think I have to suck it up since we won't see BIL at Christmas other than that.  Hopefully there will be alcohol.
I am, however, NOT going to H's Aunt's house if we are invited.  Nope.

  • If you get invited tell him it's one or the other.  And to guarantee there is alcohol you should just bring some wine.  That's the type of situation where I would probably bring 2 magnums of wine so that I can share it and guarantee that I can still drink enough myself.

  • Yeah, that side of the family is uber Baptist - the non-drinking, non-music, non-dancing type.  They are very nice people, but this is H's Aunt who felt the need to pray for our souls since we lived together before marriage.

Yeah, I mean, puppies are def. a lot of work, but they've also lived in home with people who work for years and are just fine.  My older dog was housebroken in a matter of a week or so - for real. Our other dog?  damn, she was difficult.  <div>those puppy pads would probably work well if you both have to be gone all day occassionally.</div>

  • Here! Making headbands. Covered in craft glue. H is going to be so thrilled that I seem to have gotten some on his laptop. Oops.

  • Like bling-bling headbands?

  • Haha real nice Salt.  Are you making driving headbands for when you get your new car off your registry?
    imageBabyFruit Ticker
  • These particular ones have a big flower. I'd post a picture, but I don't want anyone to be all "OMG VENDOR" at me.

  • You could just post it for us and then delete it.

I just told H about meeting the girls for lunch when I'm home, and his response  (copied and pasted) was: Yeah you are a HUGE!!!!! Dork.

Yep! Gosh I can't wait to have that car. I made sure to mention it on all my invites.

  • I think puppy pads will be our salvation.

If this happens, the overall plan is to housebreak the puppy and then install a collar activated doggy door and it can go on one of those grass pads on the veranda while we are away during the day.

Becuase of the snakes here I wouldn't be comfortable just letting him free to go in the yard without supervision.

  • You should really put yourself in the drivers seat.
