What's up this Tuesday evening?

Re: What's up this Tuesday evening?

  • I had some tan lines on my chest from my bikini for a few years. Once I finally stopped tanning during the winter season, they went away. It was somewhat liberating to finally have skin all one color, heh.

  • OMG that burn was the worst. I seriously haven't been in a bathing suit since then and I still have the tan lines. It's like I was scorched. FI is definitely going to be on sunblock duty this year.
  • Even if I get tan this summer, it will be all gone by my wedding, No way is my tan gonna last til January, haha. I'm gonna be a pale as shtt bride. :)

  • MS - I would rather be pale than have tan lines.  And I don't know how to not get some sort of farmer's tan just from existing during the summer.  I guess I'll have to wear sunscreen everyday, even when I'm spending only a little time outside.  Sounds greasy.
  • Musical-it looks like you have a great skin though so pale probably works. I'm weird. when I don't have some color, I look sickly. I have to some slight color on me.

  • I love having my dad to vent to about my mom. It makes everything so much better.

  • See, my tan is completely gone but I still have the lines :( I think I'm going to try out sunless tanning before the wedding. I'll practice, of course. :)
  • Thanks, ggirl! I don't know if I have great skin--I used to tan A LOT. Evidence of old tanned me:

Yeah, so hopefully I don't get skin cancer but I might. I need to get checked ASAP. :(

  • Holy crap that doesn't even look like you musical!! I'm digging the dark hair though. I think I'm going to go back to dark hair for the wedding.

OMG I've become one of those girls who constantly talks about her wedding. :(
  • Yeah, you can pull off either tan or not. I can't. I don't know what it is about my coloring. Don't put off getting checked. My sister is having about 6 basal cancer cells removed (not sure if thats the correct term or not, but basically having moles removed).

  • Haha I know, it totally looks like some weird alternate-me or something. I loooved having dark hair but it was a lot to keep up and plus i looked bad unless I was tan. Once I eliminated the tanning and the hair dye, it was a lot cheaper. :)

  • I hate tanning. I get too bored to lie in a bed for that long and I'm not going to lie out on the deck to do it either. I'd much rather be pasty.

  • I love having dark hair too, but it's hard to cover up my gray hair and scalp issues. :(
  • I have stopped tanning in tanning beds (though I loved it), because I think I had an addiction. I went tanning 3-4 times a week at one point. I also did not wear sunscreen until I was 20 or 21. (hides) Now I'm super paranoid with the sunscreen and am coming to terms with being ok as a pale person year-round.

  • I have really thin hair and the darker my hair the more people think that I am balding.

  • I'lll probably regret posting this, but it's the wine talking. I have a combination of seborrhoeic dermatitis and psoriasis on my scalp, so it can get a little "embarrassing" sometimes. Dark hair just makes it stand out more.

Birdie, J has something similar, I think. He gets SUPER paranoid about it all the time. He likes to keep his hair as short as possible so that the dandruff is less noticable. I feel bad that he gets so upset over it. :( I'm the opposite because I have the oiliest hair imaginable.

  • It sucks MS. :( My hair gets oily, but I still have the issues. I inherited from my dad.
  • Do you use head n shoulders? that is what J uses and it usually helps more or less. Honestly I think people who have dandruff/scalp problems always notice it more than others do. I never notice anything until J tries to show me.

  • Yeah my situation is much worse than that. I have prescription stuff that helps, but it's too expensive to use every day. My problem is that I love to wear black a lot. :)

Well, I'm off to bed. Night!!!
  • Goodnight birdie!

  • I think J used to have prescription stuff too but stopped refilling it. Good night birdie!

I'm so bored. How is Edmund today, Ciara? Sorry if you are sick of people asking about him.

  • He's doing good. Napping right now. I don't think I'm going to get tired of people asking about him.

  • Aw, well glad to hear that. :) He is so darn cute in your sig pic. Love the little blonde hairs showing up too, :) Is he showing any personality yet?

So I'm just now watching my recording of Glee earlier. Did anyone hear actually have prom king/queen in HS? We never had that at prom. I don't think any schools around here did. Some kind of elimination of popularity contest type thing.
    image
  • We had king/queen for homecoming and prom.

I can't remember who won now, for whatever that's worth.
  • Hah, yeah, I wouldn't remember either. I guess since I see it all over tv shows w/ HS as the setting still, I wonder how common it still is. I honestly didn't know it was still that big of a deal as tv shows make it seem.

  • We didn't have one either. My friends and I actually all agreed that we had a better time at dinner and the limo ride to prom then at the actual dance itself. Our class officers really slacked on the planning. It was just the 4 of them that put the whole thing together and they wouldn't let anyone know anything about it until tickets went on sale for it.

  • Anyone read the mad at bridesmaids post?

  • My prom was pretty fun. I went with my ex junior year, and then a friend senior year since I just had broken up with that said BF right before prom. Mainly I was just super happy about my dresses that I had both years. Most prom fashion is BUTT UGLY though.

  • I just saw that Ciara, I'm going to read it now, heh.
