[QUOTE]In Response to Re: What's up this Tuesday evening? : I hear you. Speaking of IRL people, I have this friend who I think is cray cray. I keep trying to think of a way to discuss my frustrations on here, but aside from making an AE, I can't think of anything.

Are you afraid the friend might see it?

  • Whaaaa! New Edmund picture!

Missy, I'm really scared to take any sort of sleeping aid. My grandma is very addicted to medications, mainly sleep aids. I don't really have an addictive personality, but I don't want to mess with it. She's ruined her life and has really caused a lot of trouble in the family.

  • Yeah MK I can kind of get that. And I try to understand when the people I know IRL give their dogs to their family members who live on farms and are empty nesters, because it's probably best for the dog. But I've also known people who just lost the novelty of the dog once they had a kid and I lost a lot of respect for them.
  • melatonin is not a sleep aid in that sense. It's all natural.

  • I'm texting my brother that is the birthday boy, and thankfully he isn't mad at me for leaving. He loves Tory, he is kind of the aninal lover in the family, so I think he is kinda irritated that other people caused her to leave too. Heh. I'm being dramatic, but I kinda don't care. I feel like if I had gone straight back, it would be giving in and I want to stand my ground on this opinion.

  • Dude my FMIL, who doesn't even know how to upload pictures to her computer, found me on here. I can't say ANYTHING! I might even DD this post!

SOOOO many times i want to complain about stuff and I can't.

Well yeah, that's BS then Birdie.

Anyway, I'm off to bed. (Kind of just blew through here this evening).

I've got to get up and swim tomorrow morning. 4:30am will be here before I know it. ::weeps with exhaustion that I know will come around 3pm tomorrow afternoon::

  • Off topic: the nilla wafers I keep eating are gonna be the death of me (or weight loss whichever). I need to stop. I wish I could find an awesome adult dance class down here.

  • Night MK!

Yikes!  I worry about that a lot too, unfortunately.
  • Yeah and between that and finding out how many of my good friends actually lurk on here and never post, I'm keeping my mouth shut. I about had a heart attack once when I walked into my mom's living room and saw her on TK!

    Night Birdie!

On the people being on here thing that might know you. I kind of wonder if the girl who recently got engaged in our office is on here and if's she seen (or thinks) "what mean bittches the E girls can be."

I <3 my E girls! Good night for realz now!

  • Musical-that whole situation sucks.  Lexi is the same exact way, she gets really super excited, runs a few laps around the house and then lays down in the floor.  Nobody better come between me and my pup.  I lurve her lots.

  • Yeah I worry about it a little more now that more and more of our friends and family are getting engaged.  That's why I haven't posted a lot of what's going on with me lately because I haven't shared it with many IRL people, and I'm afraid of who could be lurking.

  • Bree-- That's awesome! :) I really hope you get the job *crosses fingers for Bree* :)

Laurenpm- Yeah, my dad gave me the "I'm disappointed in you" text just now. HAH. I told him sorry he's disappointed in me but I'm not changing my mind on the opinion of how ridiculous this catering to their needs thing is.

  • Musical I'm sorry you had to deal with that.  I agree with Birdie.

I also think that you should not go anywhere because you might die.

  • gg, I know what you're saying. It may not be physically addictive, but things like that can still be psychologically addictive.

  • Hey ladies, thought I would drop by for a few.

I'm definitely worried about people finding me on here.  Mainly because FSIL is engaged (so FSIL/FMIL could conceivably be on here), and also because....you never know.
  • Dude, I saw MSP was getting crazy storms yesterday. You guys dont usually get severe weather like that, do you?
  • It would be pretty obvious for people who know me if they found me here, considering my sig pic, but eh. I wouldn't put anything on here that I didn't want anyone to know. I'm pretty straightforward with people regarding my feelings toward them. I'd be super surprised if FMIL somehow found the site but other than that, i'm not too worried.

  • Birdie I haven't been here for a whole year but zomg I've never seen hail like that.

Oh and both my sister and my mom have found posts...about them.

  • panther, I think I missed it. Do you have sleeping issues? I do and I have tried everything, including some sleep aids. My mom was just diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and I've thought about being tested myself (when I can afford it).
  • TO whoever wanted to see more epics (i think andress, if she is still here?) I finally found the thread:

    http://forums.theknot.com/Sites/theknot/Pages/Main.aspx/wedding-boards_etiquette_love-wine_.2

    On page 3!

Andy-- I haven't looked outside. Is it bad over here in the city too?

Birdie-- We do get severe weather a lot in the summer, so it isn't too unusual.

  • Musical I would definitely be standing your ground on this.  It's ridiculous that they told you to bring her, and then were asked to take her home because of one family.  And it's more ridiculous to think that you will just go drop her off and come right back like nothing happened.

Yeah that's kind of how I feel about going back, like it would be sort of awkward after that. I used to LOVE being around my uncle, but after he got back from Mozambique he is very different and it is hard to relate to him. SO this just kind of makes it more awkward.

  • I know my sister doesn't lurk on  here. I'm not sure about friends, however like musical, I wouldn't hide much and I haven't vented much about anything either. I kind of treat this like facebook, if I don't want it to be seen by the wrong people, then I don't post it.

  • It's a-coming for you MS.   Sirens...hail...everything.  My little rabbit got a dent in it.  H risked his life to save his beemer.

  • Hmm, I just looked outside and it is super calm. Funny since my brother said it is hailing at my parents house (literally 3 miles or so away).

  • BTW, I got asked on the phone by a customer today if I was from Minnesota.  Apparently I have a Minnesota accent.
