Good Morning

What's everyone up to this weekend? Anything good? I'm stuck at work and there doesn't seem to be much going on around here this morning.

Re: Good Morning

  • Boo for working on Saturday. I would like to still be asleep but my body apparently has other plans. This is packing weekend as the current plan is to move on Wednesday!

  • I hate that. I hope you have a lot of coffee to wake up your mind.

You must be in for a busy weekend then. Where are you moving to?

  • Good morning! I'm counting down the hours until I can go back to work on MON. I'm bored.

  • Good morning! I'm debating what has first priority - taking the dog out or going to get coffee.

  • Good morning! I'm a lurker, but I'm sitting in class for the next 9 hours and I'm bored.
  • I'm up. Ugh, early. I can't sleep past like 5:15 anymore. So annoying.

  • andy--take the dog out and then let him go for a ride to get your coffee. I'm sure, like most dogs, he'll love to be able to stick his head out the window on a Saturday morning.

  • Oh also - this is gross but I had a huge zit yesterday and it morphed into something looking like a cold sore on my face over night. My FFIL is coming over to help me unpack and we are going out to dinner and a show. I hate it when I'm ugly around him because I feel like he gets sad his son got somebody with a monster face.

that's a good idea. I walk there but maybe I'll just see if they'll let him come in if I hold him (he's little) or tie him up outside for 2 min.

Just across the city, into a temporary unit in the same building I will eventually be buying a condo in (because my real unit isn't ready yet). We haven't packed anything yet except a few boxes of books so.... yeah.

  • Not really, it's an international business operations class. I'm working on my MBA and have class from 8am-6:15pm every Saturday. This class is better than some of the others at least!

I miss Chicago. I have tons of empty boxes here in Minneapolis that I wish I could give you.

  • ASL - your siggy is taking up my entire laptop screen. Literally. Is this happening to anyone else, or is it just a glitch on my computer?

  • The only time I didn't mind packing for a move is when we were moving out of our last house where we lived with FI's brother, and I was DYING to get out of there. Other than that, I hate it.

  • Yeah, I changed it. I didn't realize how rediculously huge it was.

I'm sure you didn't want that much of a close up of us. Sorry!

I would definitely take them! We don't have nearly enough boxes. :(

I've been really aggravated with everything about the situation recently, so I am pretty eager to get out of here and get this move over with.

My current landlord has been showing the place for a month and a half to no avail, and he doesn't always give us much notice, and the people who say they are going to come (so we're sitting around waiting for them) show up late or early or not at all.

Now the building wants to charge me $750 to move out! WHAT!

  • Morning, ladies. I just finished taking up the rest of the carpet tack strips in the laundry room. My parents came over last night and helped me move the washer and dryer out, in exchange for dinner. I definitely got the better end of that deal, even with the garlic ginger grilled pork with grilled asparagus and homemade espresso gelato for dessert. Now I'm gearing myself to remove the rest of the carpet pad glue with acetone, then roll on the vapor barrier. Tiles go in Monday!

Tide, your new partner is a cutie.
  • Thanks, Sara! I lurve him so much. Hopefully we both make it through to graduation!

  • So I went and got coffee and they told me Frankie (the dog) is welcome inside anytime! Yay!

On another note - I do not feel like going to spin class now. I hate that its at work and .5 miles away. I'm a lazy butt.

  • Well I'm glad they took a liking to Frankie! I don't dare try that with my dogs. It's not as cute to see a girl walk in trying to carry a 115lb dog like a baby.

  • If I had half a brain I would have invited you up this weekend for help in home improvement, errr, so you would have some company.
  • i just bought these on ebay, i'm absurdly excited about it:

  • Jill those are super cute!

  • Oh Jill, those are cute.

I'm going to AW: I just ran a 10k. Okay, it was a short course (unofficial barely 6 mi) according to my Garmin, but I finished in under an hour (which is fast for me).
  • Nice, OWN! Hearing people talk about these things makes me tired, let alone doing one myself.

  • Nice, OWN! I haven't run a 10K since I was 20. So that would make it 23 years ago. Yikes.

    Daff, love the new shoes!
