What type of vessel do you use to give your doggie pills?
The new vet hypothesized that his problems might be due to an allergic reaction of some sort (and the infections just came after constant biting/licking). I've been giving Ozzie his pills in Velveeta sliced cheese, but last night I thought I'd try an experiment.
For awhile now I've joked that it would be just my luck that he was actually allergic to the cheese I'm giving him when I give him all of his pills for the paw issue. However, after a few sleepless nights this week with paw biting waking me up, I thought a little more seriously about it and gave him a different type of cheese. It could have been that or the fact I loaded his paws up with medicine before we went to bed, but there was not biting last night and we all slept through the night!
I'm going to the store after work and I was going to pick up something new to continue this experiment to see what the source of the problem might be. Any ideas would be appreciated!
Oh, and I tried bread once and he gagged, so that's out.
