GOOD MORNING!

Re: GOOD MORNING!

  • I've never refrigerated our butter for toast. I keep a little covered butter dish above the microwave and then the rest of the butter and margarine in the fridge. I didn't realize that was uncommon.
  • That's the only way to look at it Birdie!  It's the only reason I know I'll go to my cleaning appointment next month and make an appointment for the necessary fillings.

Speaking of teeth do any of you whiten your teeth in anyway?  It's something I've been thinking about but am really on the fence of what to do if anything.
  • Slebanc, I have used Crest Whitestrips in the past but I've never done it at a dentist. I've seen tons of groupon type deals for it though so it makes me curious.

  • My dentist charges an ungodly amount for whitening. I've the crest stuff and it's ok. I have some crest "touch-ups" I use every once in a while that help remove stains. I need to get a full on two week deal and do it because my teeth aren't as white as I'd like.

I bought a teeth whitener and had trays made through my dentist like 12 years ago (this was before crest white strips).  It's called Opalessence and it works great.  You have the trays forever and you just keep buying the bleach and use it every once in a while.

I recommend it over the laser whitening because if you are like me at all and drink red wine and coffee a lot, you are bound to get some stains on your teeth.  So I just pop it in once every six months to a year and my teeth are pearly white!

<div>I had to get most of my fillings and restorations replaced before my wedding, so I figured the new composite material should be whiter. My dentist fitted me for whitening trays and gave me eight tubes of bleach in varying concentrations.</div><div>
</div><div>All told, it was about $150, but it lasts for a long time. Also, because it's fitted for my mouth, the bleach stays on my teeth and doesn't irritate my gums.</div>
  • I'm not worried about leaving butter out, but I am super paranoid about other things. I'm in the ridiculously high risk group for food poisoning, and I'd rather be labeled a neurotic germaphobe than spend a few weeks in the hospital.

But for the rest of you, my H always says, "My immune system isn't going to train itself," usually right before he eats something questionable.

Thanks ladies for answering about the teeth whitening, I totally forgot I asked about it until just now!  I think I might look into the Crest strips to try out at first.
