too early for a night thread?

Re: too early for a night thread?

  • Loopy, I've had an almost identical dream...I was also wearing the wrong dress and no one would listen to me when I said that it wasn't my dress. Weird stuff.

  • Ugh I've had some nasty wedding nightmares. Really weird ones too.

Last night my dream involved watching a choir of little people at a music school on the beach of Hawaii. Rachers was with me. :)

Seriously - assembling a million and one invites is not the time for my OCD to kick in.

No memorable wedding dreams for me yet.  I have had a couple but don't remember what they were or even if they were good or bad.

Oh ya know, the florist forgot the flowers for the cake, the best man's "speech" was a song he wrote declaring his love for the groom, had about 20 crashers from another event going on at the same venue... the usual wedding dramas.

  • Evening all, finally sitting down and relaxing with some antiques roadshow, my golden  retriever at my feet, Words with friends on my laptop.  Life is indeed good!

    ***Back to read the thread.***
  • I never had wedding nightmares.  I do have dreams where Knotties appear.
  • Haha yes lets please do so, Rach! I woke up thinking it was so bizarre that I dreamt about little people, but then remembered that J and I had a conversation about little people the other night, because he admitted to me that the little person that we saw at the grocery store was the first he had EVER seen in his life.

Like, romantic love? Or a brotherly "I love you, man!" type of way?
    image
  • Oh man Raes.. I can't even imagine what that would be like!
  • No joke. He told H a few months before the wedding that he had feelings for him and that he hoped things would be different between them. H was weirded out, but just kind of ignored the situation. Then wedding day comes and time for the best man speech, and oh there he is on the piano singing a song about them. Talk about an awkward moment and I had some questions to answer from curious friends and family.

  • I have knotties in my dreams a lot. I just always forget them. This one was particularly vivid though. I also recall that Rach was very insistent that we get good sun coverage while we watched the choir.

I think I would've died laughing if that happened at my wedding, but I'm an awful human being.
  • Wow, Raes. That IS super awkward. Was he "out" before that, or did this kind of blindside everyone?
    image
  • Hm, I wonder why he thought THAT was a good idea.

Everything the light touches is my kingdom.
  • That sounds pretty uncomfortable Raes!

As far as I know, he never really came out. Right before the wedding he was dating a girl and we told him he could bring her, but he said things weren't really working out and he came solo. It didn't take us long for us to figure out why.

  • What's the best way to break the seal on an envelope?  FI and I were going to get married last July but had some family illness so we had to postpone.  I had like 5 invitations sealed when we postponed and am wondering if it is possible to neatly break the seal on the envelope so I can put the new invitation pieces in the pocketfold and then glue the envelope back.  Is there a way to do this so it looks like I didn't do it?

  • Oh my goodness...Raes, that sounds so awkward. Did the best man say anything to you or your H after his little performance?

I have had knotties in my dreams too. I had one a few months ago after Wisc had her baby and I dreamt that I was with AATB at some sort of dinner thing and was telling her all about it.

Last weekend I had a dream that we were all at DMill's mom's funeral, but DMill still had BMs there (all dressed up in BM dresses and everything) and you all convinced me to start smoking again.. Then the priest who is doing our wedding came out and started the service for DMills mom.  It was very strange.

<div>I've heard that putting it in the freezer works, but have never tried it. I'd spring for new envelopes if I were you.</div>
