  • I don't know that she earned "such a bad name," she just got some flack for being a little immature, I think.

  • I remember evabee being nice, just a little...off sometimes.  Her posts would be walls of text that looked like they were copied and pasted from some psychology website.  And her on-going wedding stories were always changing...something like:  we're planning a big wedding, no, we're doing a DW, nevermind we're having a convalidation ceremony, no, wait we're JOP-ing.

I love teaching. I'm so happy that it's something I'm going to be doing for the rest of my life.

Or maybe you should ask me again after I grade the 38 papers I have sitting on my dining table... :)

I never took any sociology classes, but I'm flattered that you would think so. I think I pick up a lot of that reading for art history, because as a discipline we tend to cannibalize from pretty much every other field in the humanities and social sciences. We just take those methods and then apply them to things you can see. :)

I am not surprised at all. Walls of text either. Eva is one of the most verbose person I know. Shes like a fucking thesaurus. You should see her Christmas cards.</div>

  • Kiki - I don't live in CO, I used an old address (internet safety?). Sorry for not answering right away I went to school in Boulder.

And give her a break on the wedding changes. They had to change the date and locations 3 times at least because of the military and family issues. She really wanted to wait 2 years to get married, but when he told her it was really important to him to be married before he left she didn't even blink and gave up her family wedding. So she might have been whining here, but maybe because she wasn't complaining IRL, at least not to Evie or me. I've got a lot of respect for her so maybe I'm not the best person to give objective opinions.

I prefer the textbooks that read like a book and aren't so formal rather than the ones that are the usual stuffy textbook kind that you are stuck with in hig hschool.

  • Hi there, man person! I was actually thinking last night that I should make a post tody encouraging the guy who wrote the KPS to come join us. I know you weren't the one who wrote it, but still, welcome!

I actually adore evabee. I think she's really sweet! I didn't know anyone had issues with her.

How do you feel about zombie movies?

  • Okay seriously, to all the "ZOMG he's not reaaall" knock it off.  Either he is real, and you guys are freaking out about nothing, or he's not and is actually one of the better AE's we've gotten around these parts in a while, so just chillax and enjoy it.  Either way, I'm getting irritated that everytime someone new and even remotely interesting (or crazy) comes around folks are all "Fake! Fake!"

    'Sup dude.

Hi dude! I'm withholding judgement thus far, but still... hai!

Andalso, I'll be needing your thoughts on Tom Hanks, to pass along to MsFische please.

  • Actually, if it's an AE, I think it's pretty boring so far.

But, if you're real- I went to school in Boulder, too.  Go Buffs!

    At least it's relatively believable.  That's all I ask.  I'm AE-easy.

  • Sorry to have left for a sec. The weather's so nice so I went for a run. So hello to everyone who came on after I left!

When I decided to post I knew some people would think I'm not a guy (still hurts, Salt, ha) but since I'm not planning on being a regular here I don't think it's that big of a deal either way. I'm probably not the guy to ask about etiquette so if I keep posting it will probably to join in on other threads that have something interesting/funny going on. There are other guys here you know. I know a few at least who lurk when shitt hits the fan on certain topics. Maybe some of the brides here are actually grooms?
  • How do you "know" about these other men.  Do you have a support group for knot husbands?

<div>Can you explain the "hai" thing? I see that all the time and I'm like WTF is that? Is it like texting speak? My mom sends me this pictures of animals with stuff like "Hai" and "iz" and I always thought it was her attempt to be a "peer" haha.</div><div>
<div>On Tom Hanks </div><div>He's a totally asexual actor. He's great (Woody was his finest work) so you love him, but he's played enough weird roles that most people probably don't fantasize about him. Just my opinion. There's this actor Evie would probably bone if she had the chance who I think is not real good looking but she's obsessed with him. It's funny how red she gets. I'd love some input on that thought process</div></div>
