need a yummy dessert recipe

H and I are going to an event for the youth program at church which we are involved in on Friday night. I want to bake some yummy holiday cookies or something. Does anyone have a fun, festive holiday cookie or something that I could make this week?

I have thought about doing candy cane cookies, chocolate chip & peanut butter cookies, but those just weren't cutting it. Thanks ladies!

Re: need a yummy dessert recipe

  • What about M&M cookies with red & green M&Ms or cut outs?
  • Do they need to be cookies?
I made these last year.  They were heavenly.
  • No, they don't have to be cookies. I just am having a brain fart on what else I can make.
  • gingerbread men
  • "blondies" -- as opposed to brownies.  Uses peanut butter, not cocoa.  Really yummy.

Or another really fun treat is peanut butter cookies with a reeses cup or hershey's kiss in the top of it -- just mash the inside with your thumb right when it comes out of the oven, then put the candy in the top of the cookie.  You could skip the thumb-mashing if you're using candies that aren't too warm or pre-refrigerated.
July 16, Our Wedding Day, is also International Juggling Day!

[QUOTE]Brownies with peppermint icing. Candy cane almond bark. I like to make chocolate covered peanut butter balls, but that's probably not a great choice for a group. White chocolate covered oreo cookies, maybe with chunks of candy canes in the chocolate?

My baby girl is a married woman...and now my baby girl HAS a baby girl. Time unfolds in such an amazing way. I've been blessed!
