Tuesday evening

Re: Tuesday evening

• OMG Mica I was soooooo happy when Oz was able to go through the whole work day without needing a potty break. FI goes home probably 3 out of 5 days, but Oz will survive if we don't go home for lunch. It sucked making the 30 minute round trip commute 2-3 times a week for lunch to let him out as a puppy.

Now it's mostly figuring out what we're going to do with him every weekend because we travel so much. Luckily my mom sees him as a serious grandchild.
• Still cute the second time around too. :)

• So, here's the thing. We have no idea, she's a mutt. And we were walking in NYC and we saw a puppy that look literally identical to her. We stopped the woman and asked what kind of dog it was... She replied, "I found him on the streets of Ethiopia and brought him back." WTF? Back to having no clue.

But, Berkeley is so darned cute, I put up with everything.  Here's her pathetic dog look:

And here she is scratching her own back (and wrist):

Oh, NC, your dog is adorable!

• Yeah Tory hasn't been home for a whole work day yet but she holds her bladder pretty well. This summer will be the test I suppose, because J and I will both be working full time.

• Mica-- I love the pathetic dog look on Berkeley. haha.

Bree-- I have my ears double pierced and I never wear earrings to bed. I don't like the back of the earring poking my neck when I rest against my ears.

• Mixtape, them's fightin' words.

NC, she's cuuuuute! We don't have much idea what R is either.

Bree, I only wear earrings every once in a while. I'm allergic to a lot of metals, so I can't leave them in for more than a few hours.

• I never wear earrings to bed because I don't like to posts jabbing me. But I also don't wear earrings every day. My ears are double pierced, but I wouldn't be surprised if my second hold *tee hee* was closed up.
• Here's a random question Bree made me think of.

If you could have any ability a dog has, what would it be? Definately being able to scratch anywhere is a plus. But having a coat to always keep me warm would be sweet too.

Anyone else?

• Yeah I don't wear earrings in both holes all the time. But they've both been pierced for a long time so I think they are all still open.

I had my cartilage pierced in high school and I loved it. Then in my senior year I worked at Hollister (ew, I know.) and they made me take it out to work there, and it closed up. :(

• Up until about a month ago I never took my rings off. Ever. But my e-ring started irritating my finger so I've started taking it off at night. I don't always remember to put it back on in the morning now. :-/

I wish I could lay around on the couch all day like Oz. I'm jealous of him every day I leave for work.
• I kind of forgot about my cartilage piercing until just now. I forgot how much I loved it. Now I'm bitter at Hollister all over again. haha.

• Quick side note- I'm rewatching episodes of Law and Order I DVR'd... It's the episode where the girl fakes being abducted and throws herself into the river. And then the guy throws Elliot off the side of a building... Get's me every time. Ahhh.

I used to wear my earring all the time, including to sleep.  I rarely wear earrings now, because I used to fidget too much when I had them in that I had to stop wearing them to work.
• K it's time for me to go to bed. Night!
• I totally wish I could just sit and lay around all day like Tory.
In Response to Re: Tuesday evening : I thought Hollister was an anything goes type of store.  At least that's what I thought when I shopped there in middle school & the girls working all wore super short shorts & little tank tops.
Posted by bree4305
No, they actually had pretty strict clothing guidelines, weirdly. I didn't even work the front rooms either. I was in the stock room for my shifts, doing inventory and such. Either that or I'd work the early morning shift and re-organize displays in the front room.

But yeah, we had to wear all Hollister clothes (or if not, the shirt could not have any other label and had to LOOK like it could be sold there--- like a plain cami, etc) We also were not allowed to wear sweatpants or hoodies (for girls). We were not allowed to wear black because Hollister does not sell anything black. We also had to change into flipflops once we got to work. Working on your feet in flip flops SUCKS.
image
• oh and guys weren't allowed to have facial hair, or piercings of any kind.
image
• Actually, my only favorite time of working at Hollister was the time that a coworker told me that she got drunk here in the cities and woke up the next day in Florida. People who worked there were not exactly....winners.
In Response to Re: Tuesday evening : Even while stocking/doing inventory?  That seems dangerous!

Exactly! I climbed shelves at least 25 feet high on a daily basis to get clothes or put big stacks of folded clothes on the shelf. Flip flops do not exactly provide the best secure footing for that stuff.

The managers were all college dropout drunkies in their mid-20s. I don't really know how the store managed to function.

• a PM GBCE eh? That is kind of ...awkward.

To say the least.
• I am always so late with these evening thread but HELLO everyone!

Mica, that seems weird!!! Does she think you were you mean to her or was she just yelling at you since you are the mod?
• Oh and for sure if I was a dog I would love to be sleeping all day long. And then get in to whatever kind of trouble I can when everyone is gone :D
• Gonna take the pup out-- be back in a bit!
