Ahh... I just spent a blissful hour outside in the sun. I't's finally warm enough here to enjoy the outside!!! Just in time for me to tan up a bit before we head to the US. I'm scared I'm going to fry like a chicken.  In fact, I'm considering just going home to work for the rest of the day to just enjoy this stuff!!

I'm watching the kittens wrestle and trying not to get too pissed off on the HM board.  I don't get why people would recommend a European bus tour for a HM.

Good morning!

It's so muggy out already and it's only 7 AM.  Not cool.  I'm really craving fall weather (if not the fall semester).  I feel really disorganized lately.  Totally forgot the handout I needed to print out for class last night and BS'd my way through the discussion (I think the teacher noticed).  Can it be August yet?

I keep having nightmares where I show up to class totally unprepared and all the students look at me like I'm a moron. Forget handouts, forget what we are discussing that day, totally blank when someone asks me a question. I'm want to get the first day over with already.

Sometimes I wish we stuck with dogs.  You can discipline a dog, and the dog will understand and look embarrassed.  Cats just look at you funny and keep on doing what they want to do.  My cat just tried to stick his nose in my cereal.  When I told him "no," he tried to stick his paw in instead.  He's lucky he's cute.

Girl kitten just tried to stick her face in my hot tea.  

Of course, now the kittens have moved away from my breakfast, and they are playing cat soccer with a bottle cap, complete with stealing the cap and sliding on the hardwood floor.  That's why I keep them.

Snippy, I DO!  Heh, I just realized last night after class that this is the last weekend before the final.  My friend from class and I are already making study plans next week.  I have to start making flashcards (that sounds so retro, but as I haven't had a final since probably 2006 or so it fits) so I can really hunker down and study.

Not a lot going on today.  I can't remember where someone on E or SB posted the service puppy cam but I showed it to H yesterday and he was sucked in, lol.  He LOVES dogs but we  can't have one in our apartment.  It was cute to watch him watch those pups for awhile and smile.

Good morning! Ugh. A bus trip on a HM? I don't even think I'd want to do it as a senior citizen, absolutely not on my HM. Our team trivia was cancelled last night, but I'm still exhausted. It's been rough at work lately. Oh well, I'll make it through. I am getting my hair done tonight though. I'm excited, it's been over 4 months since the last time.

Mica, I've never had a dog but sometimes I think they would be easier than cats. Whisky does the food stealing thing too and doesn't give a crap when you tell him no.

That being said, your little ones are adorable.

Snippy -- I loved that picture even back in the days when you were scary Amoro.  

Cfas -- imagine being on your HM and having to spend the bulk of your meals in some tourist trap restaurant eating with a bunch of randos.  And having to wake up early every morning to get on the bus so you don't delay everyone else's trip.  Ugh.  That's just not romantic to me (and, in my opinion, it's not a great way to see tourist-friendly, culture-rich places like most of Europe).

Mica, try keeping a tin can with coins or rocks in it. When they do something bad, shake it at them. Or, you know, squirt them. But they do sound adorable.

Here's girl kitty hiding from her brother (and ready to attack).  Her face is deceptively innocent.  She mounted an overhead attack two days ago when H, boy kitty and I were sitting on the couch by the cat tree.

Haha, mica that is too cute!  Kittehs are never innocent, lol.  Honestly, cats scare me a little since they can be so unpredictable and, well, mean depending on the cat.

Snips - Like everyone else, I love your wedding pic!

Mica - I have a dog that acts a lot like a cat, it is nearly impossible to discipline her. If we do try to she just looks at us funny & then continues doing what shes doing. Usually our other dog gets scared and thinks we are disciplining her. 

Morning! I am waiting to hear back from some vendors about their availability on the date change - hoping to hear good news from the hair & make up & after that I wont be disappointed which way it goes with the others. *fingerscrossed*

Lucy is a bit like a cat in that way. I tell her no, she looks at you and you can tell she's thinking about it-- then goes back to whatever it was in the first place. Lately she has been SO BAD about wanting to go back to the house at the end of a walk. She does anything and everything to delay it. Poor girl.

Berkeley used to be really obstinate about things, and she would try to delay the end of her walks.  Moving to Florida makes it so she doesn't want to take long walks (the heat is too much for my CA dog).  But she responds to H's discipline.

The kittens are snuggle bugs, but I'm covered with scratches because one will cuddle with me, then the other will sneak attack its sibling and scratch my leg or arm because said sibling's tail will be draped over my limb, and I'm just collateral damage.

cfas - EXACTLY.  I really don't want something randomly attacking me in my own home.  At least with dogs, they typically have their emotions written all over - there is no guessing as to whether they are pissed or super happy.  I don't have to worry that I'm going to walk by him and he's going to pounce on my leg and scratch his way up just for funsies.  Cats are so friggin' adorable and really entertaining to watch, but I'm really allergic to them as well, so I suppose this is a non-issue.

Cfas, my brother's cat does that switch too! And my parents' new cat likes to lay down right in front of Sasha, bat her in the face and take off because she knows Sasha will get scolded for chasing the little cat.

I have my yearly eye appointment tonight and I'm hoping I'll be able to get some prescription sunglasses covered by insurance. I miss my transitions but got rid of them for engagement pictures and figure they'll be another time I don't want sunglasses in pictures too so why waste my money.
