If they are being served to me at someone else's house, I am not picky. If I have them that I bought myself, they have to be cut into little pieces. It just has to be done, I don't know why.

Yeah, I can eat strawberries any day of the year.  I just can't stomach the price in the winter, or knowing how much fuel it took to get them to my grocer, so I tend to go frozen then.

Ciara, I have a large number of students with cleft lip and palate that has been repaired (is that what you'd call it?)  Two of them were in the play I directed this spring!  Edmund will do awesome :-)

I told my mom I didn't care if we had only chocolate covered strawberries as the dessert at the wedding. I want them there over any type of cake or cupcake. My mom thinks I am crazy.

That is what it's called drama. I already know that I'm going to miss his smile once his lip is fixed.

Missy he probably won't have the surgery until he is 3 months old. This is just a consult for them to see what it looks like and to give an approximation for when the surgery will be.

Ciara -- it's just a consultation, right?  Nothing more than an evaluation so you can come up with a plan with the specialists.  It'll be okay.  There are excellent hospitals in the Seattle area.  Edmund will be in good hands.

Blueberries are my favorite.  And they're full of antioxidants.  Fresh blueberries with a dollop of Greek yogurt and a sprinkle of brown sugar = heaven on earth.

When my mom makes strawberry shortcake, she saves a bunch of the cool whip & strawberries on the side w/ out the cake part for me. Because I never eat the cake part.

I need to get H up so he can get ready for bed. I think he passed out on the air mattress. It is comfy, but I will be so glad to be in a real bed and I think my back with thank me, too.

Yeah, I know. It was from our HM last year. I was getting tired of my old pic and since I don't have my computer here with all my pics on it, I needed something. And that was on H's computer.

It says No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problems. Perfect for this time of year.

One of my favorite desserts is homemade angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream. I don't do cool whip. Too bad that it takes so long to make angel food cake. Store bought ones are just a waste of a good cake.

I love angel food cake but I've never made it from scratch, just the boxed kind.  How do you make it from scratch?

I've only made angel food cake from scratch once.  I don't yet have a stand mixer, so it was a real pain.  Shortcake is much easier to make.  I love fresh strawberry shortcake with real whipped cream.

Yeah a stand mixer is a must to make it. It's only 18 egg whites, flour, powdered sugar, sugar, cream of tarter, vanilla extract and almond extract.
