Helloooo.... oooo....oooo...

Re: Helloooo.... oooo....oooo...

  • Nothing exciting for me. Taking a Target run w/ my mom in a bit to take a break from studying.
I was supposed to go to the Twins game tonight (I have season tickets) with my brother. It's his birthday on Thursday and this was my gift to him. But I'm way too behind on my studying for my final tomorrow so it wouldn't be smart of me to go. :( So I'm letting him use the other ticket for a friend, which I'm sure he would rather go with anyway.

  • He should turn his phone on silent if he wants to sleep.  Dumbass.

Lol, sorry.  I shouldn't call him names :)

Tonight is Tuesday, yes?  Private Practice is on?  I dunno.  I am not doing much else tonight except working out.  I ran about 5 miles last night - I am running in a 10k race in about two weeks.  I'll do BBL tonight.  I think I need a massage though - every time I run longer distances my lower back hurts like hell.  I have a massive knot back there and the running aggravates it, I think.  I can run 2, 3 miles no problem.  Anything over 4 is pretty miserable though.  Which doesn't make sense to me, really.

[QUOTE]Also, J has said that I'm being selfish before, but not in a "you are a heartless selfish bother" kind of way. More just when we're having an argument and he's telling me how he feels about what I'm saying/doing/etc. And I usually appreciate the honesty. Sometime he acts selfish too and i call him out on it. But the accusatory way he's texting you like that is not cool.

I agree, he could have said, "Listen, you're being kind of selfish right now, worrying more about the fact that you miss me and want to see me than the fact that I'm exhausted and need to rest." I think heartless was pretty extreme... and the calling me a "bother" part was what hurt my feelings the most.

  • Honestly the "heartless" part would get me the most. Like you bugging him with texts is kind of the opposite of heartless since you were trying to get his attention.

[QUOTE]Don't worry about hijacking.  This sounds like it could be a major problem.  I was waiting for you to say that he called you the "B" word!  Then I was going to become a "B" for you!

I think he's called me that before in the heat of an argument, but I was probably being one. It didn't bother me as much, for whatever reason. I guess I'm immune to some words, considering the fact that my ex used to call me a stupid cuunt on a fairly regular basis, so compared to that...

  • Oh, your ex sounds like a gem!

The hunger is winning!!  I need to find some food, STAT!  Have a good night y'all!
  • AATB - 5 miles, wow! How many miles is a 10k? I'd like to start running... it's one of the things I always tell myself I "can't" do, because right now, I can't... I run 1/2 mile outside and I'm winded... but I want to be able to do it. Kind of just to prove to myself that I can, ya know? Idk about a 10k, but I'd at least like to run a few miles without dying.

Musu - That sucks that you can't go to the game! I'm sure a good grade on your final will be worth it though!

  • Angel, that just sounds like you're numb because you were victim to verbal domestic abuse. Which doesn't make it ok later. :( Not like your FI is now doing the same as your ex because I don't know the story behind it or anything, but just remember that it is never ok for people to call you terrible names.

I am pretty sure I have called Ben an asshole before.  But I think he farted next to me and then got up and left.  We were also both laughing pretty hard when I called him an asshole, lol.

Anyway.  I need to leave now but angel?  Please promise me you will talk to your FI about how he hurt your feelings?  You guys need to have a constructive conversation about this.

ETA - a 10k is 6.2 miles.  You should start the Couch to 5k program!

  • I was just going to suggest a Couch 2 5K program - AATB beat me to it.
  • MuSu - Ex could be really verbally abusive. FI is not, generally speaking. I do know it's not okay for me to be called names... that's one thing I promised myself I wouldn't stand for after my last relationshop.

AATB -  I will definitely talk to him about my hurt feelings and how it's not okay to express frustration in that manner.

I will have to look into this. I prefer weight lifting to all forms of cardio, but because of an injury, I can't lift as much, so I need to take up an alternate form of exercise.

I am the same way.  But I successfully trained for a half marathon.  I was amazed at what I could do with the proper training.  And I'm not a runner by any means.  Good luck with the C25K program.  It's awesome!

How about yoga or pilates?  You get more upper body but people with injuries can still do it.
