Completely embarrassed

I invited a friend of the family to our wedding who couldn't come, but he and his wife sent my husband and I a card with a check in it, which I thought was really sweet. I wrote a thank you note in October, and put it in my bag with all of the other finished thank you notes and put it in the mail.

Or so I thought. I apparently must have had a book in my purse that I was finished reading, and apparently the note slipped in between the cover and the pages. I didn't realize this for months until I loaned the book to a friend who then called me to tell me she found the note. I'm totally mortified. My wedding was almost 6 months ago. What do I do?!?!

Also, brides to be, take my advice and when you're done checking off thank yous on your list RUBBER BAND THEM TOGETHER. Sigh.

Re: Completely embarrassed

  • I would call and apologize and explain what happened.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • Yes, call and send it.  These things happen.

    Meddied since 6/15/13!
  • Ditto.  In this case, better late than never.

You'll never be subject to a cash bar, gap, potluck wedding, or b-list if you marry a Muppet Overlord.
