Re: MORNING

  • Good morning everyone!

Has the fame gone to Mr. Beefy's head yet, Kelly?
  • Oh in Mr Beefy's head, he's always been famous :)

  • hahha. :) Don't ALL dogs think they are famous?

I took Lucy for a hella long walk this afternoon, out into muddy fields, off leash.  She had a total blast. Unfortunately for her, that also means she gets a lovely bath this evening!! MUAHAHAHAHA
  • Glad to see that he's stayed well adjusted.  It must be so cool to have a famous dog (:
  • I have never given either of my dogs a bath.  H has - he takes them into our stall shower.  We took Beefy to a groomer once - he was terrified of the hair dryer :)

  • Aw poor Beefy.  I've never taken an animal to a groomer.  We just throw them in the shower.  Speaking of which, all three need baths.  They stink.

  • Lucy gets a bath a week. She's so low to the ground that she picks up EVERYTHING and often smells by Friday. She does not care for the blow dryer either!
  • I cannot pick up 90 lbs of dog to put her INTO the wash tub so if H isn't home, I take her to the groomer.  She gets all excited when she gets there so they must do something right cause she looks downright miserable when H bathes her at home.
  • SIL just found out she's having a girl.  Everyone was surprised, since H's family produces a lot of boys.  My MIL doesn't seem to be convinced that we might not have kids, because she told me I have to have a boy.  Yeah ok, I'll get right on that.

  • Don't you love MILs?  I'm sure H is getting asked 659 times this weekend when we're planning to have a kid since he's down visiting his parents.  Well, we're not planning it.  If it happens, it happens.  So sorry to disappoint.

  • Rachers - I think it's harder than you might think... I know I'd leave any kind of grooming that involves cutting/shaving hair to a professional.

Incorrect, my friend.  We shaved one of my mom's dogs last summer, and it was a bitch.

  • Rachers, I trim Lucy. Trim! Not shave! You just have to get them used to it.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
