Saturday Night Fever

Re: Saturday Night Fever

  • I didn't get my car in the four-door model (when I bought it 10 years ago) because I hated the color of the four-door models they had in stock.
  • Hi Erin! I know, my new job is keeping me busy!

Sorry Barrel, that's such a bummer. Maybe it just means there's a better house out there for you guys?

Yeah, that's rough. What's the point of a big stroller anyway?

This is the car. I mean, look at those wheels and the color combination. Ew.

  • I want a new car desperately but I don't owe on my car. Right now the no car payment has been winning. I'm sorry Barrel.

  • Jill- I'm hoping so. There's nothing else on the market in our price range that I even want to go look at though.  Prices are flying up around here... I hope we didn't miss our chance.
My dad is a Realtor.. I've always known it's a crappy process to buy, but man it sucks when you get emotionally attached to a house.

    I miss that.

Barrel, that sucks. House shopping is so stressful. I don't envy you at all.
  • The interior's not bad, but ya, the outside is pretty ugly I agree.

I don't miss having a car payment, but I'm hoping to get something new next spring.
  • Ok so no one was postng. I ran away, and we're on page two. WTF guys?

    Daff that car is fug.

Jill can't you get one of the extended Minis? More room, same car?

Gretch I <3 Cedar Point. I grew up outside of Cleveland so it's my faorite amusement park. We're thinking of getting a platinum pass next year that will allow us toe get in to any of the Cedar Fair parks.

  • My best friend and I have preliminary plans to go to Cedar Point some weekend in September.
  • Daff, I have to agree with you. I don't mind the exterior color, but paired everything it's not a good look.

Oh Barrel, house shopping is the suck. It really is. I hope you find something soon.
  • Ok, i am going to P&R. Time to make dinner. Be back in a bit.

  • Well at least y'all confirmed what I thought. P.U.
  • Laundry is going! Pork Roast is in the oven.  I rubbed it with garlic and herbs and 'm basting it with Kentucky Bourbon BBQ sauce...I'm serving the last of my fresh corn on the cob with it, and some of my cucumbers (sliced, salted and peppered).

I will be planting some more corn next weekend...the first crop was soooo good.
  • Lizzie, that sounds awesome
  • This is the first year in about 5 that I've managed to make it to CP, and it's only like 2 hours away. We used to go at least once every summer.

Sunday was apparently the best day ever to go-- we waited maybe 45 minutes each time we went on the Maverick, and that was the longest wait all day. Strangely enough, the only other thing with any line longer than 10 minutes was the Gemini. It was a ghost town. And it was awesome. Back-to-back-to-back Millenium Force, woo!

I wish there were more Cleveland area knotties. I'm always jealous of gtgs.

[QUOTE]Oh that reminds me.  I was thinking about naming my car Rhonda or Wanda.  I can't think of any other words that rhyme with Honda.

    La'Fawnduh.

Also Anaconda, which is not really a name, I guess.

  • Gretch, Loopy used to be in Cleveland, and DocBroccoli is there, but she never comes around these parts anymore.

  • Edie-- Yes

MK-- Yeah. I can think of a couple others, too, but I've never really spoken to them, so I suppose being all "HEY LET'S HANG OUT BECAUSE WE LIVE IN THE SAME PLACE" would be weird, haha.

  • So off topic, but I just looked up a daycare here in the area...it's $1,997 a month for an infant/toddler. That's pretty much my entire salary for the month. Surprised
  • Holy crap. That's a lot of money for childcare.

Many of my friends at work are there simply for the benefits at this point. Their entire paycheck goes to daycare. It's unreal.

  • Yea, child care is crazy expensive these days. You could look into a nanny share or look for a SAHM looking to make some extra money.
  • Oh, and hi, everyone. Dinner was Jimmy John's. We were at the beach until the storms rolled in, so we weren't dressed for a sit-down restaurant with menus and other fancy shiiit.

Yum. <div>We were hooked on JJ until H discovered Firehouse Subs. It's so great, mainly because I like my sandwhiches served warm.</div>

  • Yall are making me hungry and I still have 3 hours til I get to leave work. I might order JJ actually.
  • Good evening.  H is making us fajitas for dinner tonight.  I am so glad he is a good cook.

  • My degree is in Child & Family Development, so good, quality care is a top priority. I would LOVE to be a SAHM, and if it's going to be that stinking expensive, it may very well play out that way. Hi Jal! How's KC? Hurry up and become a doctor already so you can move to KC and hire me.
