Okay, problem solved.  There is a lull in the song just over halfway through he can talk over.  We'll warn our families that they are required to come dance with us.

We're doing "God Only Knows" by The Beach Boys.  Our other contender was "Stay with You" by John Legend.  We picked this because it's short and easy to be silly and twirly too.  We are terrible, terrible dancers.

We picked Angel by Jack Johnson because...well...I love the song, but ALSO Because it is only 2 minutes and 30 seconds long.

And I didn't think those two minutes flew by, like PP's said. It seemed to take FOREVER. I just wanted to get the party going, already.

Long first dance song are grueling and awkward to sit through, IMO.

We're doing "She's No Lady, She's My Wife" by Lyle Lovvett, assuming we get around to taking some dance lessons. Not full on coreography, but neither of us can dance. At all. If we don't get around to doing that, we probably won't do a first dance at all.

Theresa - I just saw that you are thinking of doing Wildflowers. I LOVE that song. We actually ended up with it as our cake cutting song. We had so many songs we loved, and probably would have ended up with Into the Mystic by Van if we didn't always have, "This Magic Moment" by the Drifters as 'our' song.
